I'm having a hard time believing this is the case. This would literally be the first time in my life I've heard of a policy that is 100% out of pocket until you reach the deductible. You might want to double check that office visits fall under the deductable umbrella.Originally posted by Anti-Polar Bear View PostMy shitty insurance don't do co-pay til one spends $6000 K or so out of pocket, after the $300 annual "allowance."
For a minor disorder (at least you hope it is only minor), you go to a health care clinic, doctor take a look at you for 5 minutes, prescribes you expensive dope, then bills you 600 bucks, asks you to come back in a couple of weeks for a 3 minutes followup, which clinic proceeds to bill you another 600 bucks. You will lose even more frogskins if the disorder isn't resolved by the followup.
USA needs universal health care badly and immediately. Uncles Sam is already taking frogskins away from all our hard-earned paychecks (Medicare). I'm all for paying a bit more for UHC.
Currently, all insurance companies care about is taking your money, not aiding you. Hospitals/health care clinics only care about profits. Suffice it to say, the American health care system is fucked up. Capitalism is the reason why.Originally posted by 3irty1This is museum quality stupidity.

It worked to clear up Gwyneth Paltrow's itchy balls so I thought I'd give it a try.Originally posted by pbmax View PostBut if Harlan's Tea Tree Oil helps treat ring worm, I am David Gruby.
Your balls feel great after a cleaning with this magic elixir, and itchiness goes away within a week of a few rub-a-dubs. It comes back after ignoring problem.

Yes, I should probably review the policy. Last time I spoke to HR about it, it appeared shitty as I described above. Regardless, everyone should be able to receive extraordinary health care without facing financial distress. In ole USA, only murderers, rapists and other inmates of the criminal justice system receive UHC. That's fucked.Originally posted by Zool View PostI'm having a hard time believing this is the case. Yes, we should take this discussion to FYI.

Not talc or baby powder, pure corn starch. One of those bulk sized cans finds its way off the kitchen shelf and into the locker room, employee bathroom, back office, walk-in cooler, etc for communal use.Originally posted by hoosier View PostGood advice from Zool: don't go to a specialist for something a veterinarian could diagnose. Don't listen to 31, he really means talcum and that stuff will give ya ovarian cancer.70% of the Earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Al Harris.

He's not far off. I have something similar. Annual checkups are covered and that's about it. More or less anything else is pay 100% to the deductible, and then after that they cover 80%. Yep. God Forbid I need something like chemotherapy or a ride in an ambulance.Originally posted by Zool View PostI'm having a hard time believing this is the case. I knew what you meant, but I had a public service announcement that APB needed to hear so I decided to speak for you. Here's your cornstarch, aka crotch sweat roux, back.Originally posted by 3irty1 View PostNot talc or baby powder, pure corn starch. That ‘communal use’ part seems icky.Originally posted by 3irty1 View PostNot talc or baby powder, pure corn starch.
