      Defense: https://247sports.com/nfl/green-bay-...sion-118719841

The older group is going through the defense, which has a history of playing sterling pass defense, for the third time. The rookies, who might wind up determining the success or failure of Pettine’s first season, are going through the playbook for the first time. Getting them up to speed will be critical. Alexander worked with the No. 1 defense in the slot this week, intercepting passes on Wednesday and Thursday. Jackson has worked on the outside and in the slot with the second unit. Burks is with the second unit, as well.
King is not doing team drills, so Jackson's stint with the first team is probably temporary for now.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

In Sunday's @WiStateJournal ~ 'If you take that doubt out of the equation, now they’ll play fast, they’ll play with an edge. That’s what we’re trying to do.' In Mike Pettine's scheme, #Packers hope to eliminate the confusion that plagued them last year.

What I detect they are saying is that sure and fast is better than confused and slow.

Not sure I'm buying this. MM has had a lot of success in this league with confused and slow.

Having the greatest QB in the history of the world playing for you masks and makes up for a whole helluva lot.

Partial explanation for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix's absence from voluntary OTAs: "He's had a personal situation that he's attending to, I have no concerns," coach Mike McCarthy said. Still doesn't mean it isn't a contract issue. Clinton-Dix is in the...

Adams did individual drills but looks like he’s still limited. Not doing 11-on-11s.

#Packers coach Mike McCarthy says Clay Matthews will have surgery around midweek. His thoughts on Matthews getting hit in the face: "I think he needs to work on his off hand, mid-side and release of the ball."

McCarty says he won't overreact to Clay Matthews' broken nose, still supports charity softball game: "I think it's great on a number of fronts any time your players give back to charity, involved in the community. It's a great day for the fans."

McCarthy says #Packers S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has been absent from voluntary OTAs because of personal situation, declines to go into further specifics about attendance.

                        Ryan Wood @ByRyanWood
McCarthy on finding role for Ty Montgomery despite #Packers' RB depth: "We have to take advantage of Ty's skills. There's no question about that, and the offense is suited for that."

First we’ve seen of new #Packers punter JK Scott. Missed his first, but punting from midfield (pinning the football deep), here were his final 7 unofficial hangtimes: 3.93, 4.13, 4.62, 4.23, 4.55, 4.45, 4.55. Took some time to get going, but pretty consistent once he did.

Still no sight of #Packers S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix at voluntary OTAs. Randall Cobb and Mason Crosby have returned after missing Thursday.

#Packers C Corey Linsley did not participate today because of a back injury. WR Michael Clark was out with an ankle, and OL Alex Light had a shoulder. WR Colby Pearson, OLB Clay Matthews, OLB Nick Perry, LG Lane Taylor, RT Bryan Bulaga and OT Jason Spriggs remain out.

                        Ryan Wood @ByRyanWood
#Packers WR Davante Adams practiced for first time (at least at an open session) this spring, but was limited to no team reps.
