"The first time you put it on, whatever the scientific word is maybe refraction where your perception is off a little bit," Matthews told ESPN on Saturday. "Now as of Day 3 it's not an issue."
It was just really unfortunate. It's one of those injuries where everyone kind of makes light of it like, 'Oh, he just broke his nose,' like a basketball player will wear a facemask. But this thing was pointing off to one side. I'll post a picture one day because it was pretty bad."

I have never seen Boyle play a down. I HAVE seen Hundley & Kizer play.
I'd choose Boyle.
I wouldn't give up so easily on Kizer. Browns were fools to start him as a rookie. He wasn't ready. He made a mistake going pro early, and then the Browns compounded the mistake by throwing him to the wolves. He should have been playing for Notre Dame last year, not the Browns.

Perry told reporters he underwent ankle surgery after the season but wouldn't provide additional details. Perry said the problem lingered throughout 2017. #Packers
Mike McCarthy says Quinten Rollins has come back really strong from the torn Achilles, which is why he was running with the starting dime defense the last two days. #Packers think he can play multiple positions. But we've yet to see Rollins really run. That will be telling.
McCarthy with some strong words for WR Geronimo Allison. Praises his "tenacity" and his approach to the game. Doesn't play like a tall, slender wideout. #Packers
McCarthy says he has no update on rookie OL Cole Madison. Still tending to a personal matter, unclear when he will report to camp. #Packers
Cohen, when he isn't moonlighting as a sleazy lawyer, now writes for The Athletic.
Why are all the good MJS Packer beat writers always a-leaving? Dunn, Bedard, McGinn, Cohen, to name a few.
What's his 40? If it's not 4.42, than he's no Janis.
His 40 is in the 4.5's, so he's no Janis. Of course, if he runs his routes correctly, that also means he's no Janis.

MM on Montravius Adams: Did some really good things in first day of pads. He's more comfortable with things he did.
MM On Aaron Jones: Don't have a timeline. He's out today (hamstring).

Mike McCarthy says Montravius Adams is in much better shape than he was last season. "I thought he did some really good things in the first day of pads." #Packers
McCarthy says he doesn't have a timeline on Aaron Jones' hamstring injury. Jones didn't practice Saturday after experiencing some tightness. #Packers
McCarthy is pleased with Geronimo Allison's camp thus far. He said there were some really nice clips of Allison's routes from 1 on 1s over the weekend. #Packers

#Packers coach Mike McCarthy says for DT Montravius Adams, this is "almost like his first year" because of all the time he missed last year. Adams in better shape after getting full offseason, MM said.
McCarthy thought competiveness of first padded practice was "excellent," but called rest of practice "sloppy" in execution. "We had way too many guys on the ground." Said it was byproduct of being in pads for first time, but more guys on ground for Day 1 than he can remember.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

We are keeping Boyle and Kizer. Gotta be ready for when we refuse to pay ARod.
