#Packers have released FB Aaron Ripkowski, a source told The Athletic. Have to think that's a good sign for TE Robert Tonyan.

RIP to the Ripper, who is not PS eligible. Has to mean four TEs.

Appreciate the congrats on predicting four TEs. Credit should also go to posters who wanted Tonyan retained.

        However, might just be temporary:

It's possible this is only a temporary departure for Ripkowski. There's a chance the #Packers bring him back after handling some injury situations in the coming days. In other words, putting players on IR after final cuts.

well thats convenient. he got "hurt" last year right before he should have been cut too

guy may not know how to play football, but he sure does know how to play the system

Rip had been in McCarthy’s doghouse since the fumble in the lost city of Atlanta. I don’t think McCarthy called Rip’s number once last season for one of his infamous fullback dives.

Lewis can block so no big loss.

Bring “black” Janis, and make MVS the returner on both punts and kickoffs.. Problem solved.

You just took ANOTHER roster spot with a guy who cannot play WR in the NFL.

And MVS is no Davis on returns. Makes the team worse in both respects. Only punt coverage is aided.

Joe Kerridge. Has he been cut? Rumor even last year was that he had surpassed Ripkowski in consistency as a blocker

                        plus

Ahmad Thomas. Thomas, the converted safety with the fantastic personal story, was a surprise release. Thomas has the speed and coverage skills necessary for today's game, but his release perhaps signals Oren Burks' shoulder injury shouldn't keep him out for long.

Zach Triner is out at long snapper. There's a bit of a surprise, too.

#Packers are releasing ILB Ahmad Thomas. Made a nice run for a roster spot. Probably means Antonio Morrison is sticking.

Another surprise - right on par with Ripkowski - Biegel has been released. @JCTSports, I believe, was the first on that.

You must’ve missed the ‘Zona playoff game in the desert, you know the one that saw Randall fuck up in the clutch. Janis proved in that game that he ain’t a wanker- that he’s a legitimate NFL WR.

And Janis’ damn good gunner. Too fast and to strong.

Give MVS a chance. Speed is awesome.
