  • The Official Pack-Queens GameDay Thread

I still remember watching the 2012 draft. ESPN frequently showed highlights of some pale-skinned safety from the humpback of Notre Dame. Said safety acted all hip-hop and stuff. I said out loud to myself, “What a fucking stud. Pack need to draft that guy, especially with the great Nick Collins KIA.” That guy? Harrison Smith, current stallion safety. Smith was available at the 28th spot, but Todd incompetently drafted Nikita Perry, a fragile, one-trick pony, instead.

That being said, fuck the Queens. I don’t wish harm to any good, normal Americans. But I’d be as stoic as Horatio was during wretched Hamlet’s flight with the angels if the Claymaker sends Captain Kirk to Hades for the season.

    And play, A-Rod, and win!!!

    34-8, Packers.

Going to be an interesting matchup. Rodgers and M3 will want to get the ball out early, but the routes open last week versus a surprised Bears won't be open this week quite as easily.

Really wish this was Week 3 and Jones was back. Will need to pound Williams into the Vikes front, mostly as a way to earn some free yards as they will want to pass rush and drop 7. M3 will use Monty to put the threat of run and pass out there, but hopefully he doesn't forget that Williams was good on screens last year and hurt a few DBs trying to tackle him.

Honestly, its going to take some Rodgers mobility to hit some big plays with Adams, Geronimo and Graham. I hope to see some pre-snap skullduggery to get Graham and Cobb open for easy firsts.

The D can handle the Vikings O. Run game with Cook will look rough to open but I suspect they get a handle on it.

    Packer 17, Vikes 14
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

My NyQuil addled brain is failing me. Didn’t the Eagles eat them alive over the middle in the NFCCG last year?

AGREE on wishing we had Aaron Jones this week; he showed flashes of being the real deal last year.

In the end, I just hope the Vikings don't injure Rodgers further, and I hope we can find a way to get a win.

If they take him out for any extended time we'll get the NFL draft thread going way too early
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

The Viking defense will be reactive - trying to stop the short stuff to WRs that worked against the Bears. Consequently, deeper stuff down the field may open up - if our rotten O Line can just keep the pressure out long enough. Also, I think we see some surprising mobility from Rodgers an injured prey perks up and moves better when the predator is chasing his ass.

What worries me is the Packers D. Vikings receivers are better than the Bears, and our young DBs might be susceptible to some moves. Also, the cutbacks that did damage against our over-pursuit last week could still be there.

          Packers 34 Vikings 24
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

No Burks. Will see a lot of dime and dollar DB packers. Or as Pettine calls 7 DB - Turbo.

            Green Bay Packers
            19 WR Equanimeous St. Brown
            27 S Josh Jones
            36 S Raven Greene
            39 CB Deante Burton
            42 LB Oren Burks
            70 T/G Alex Light
            82 WR J'Mon Moore

            Minnesota Vikings
            1 QB Kyle Sloter
            32 RB Roc Thomas
            44 RB Mike Boone
            65 C Pat Elflein
            78 G Bryan Witzmann
            90 DE Tashawn Bower
            92 DT Jalyn Holmes
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Should be a fun game. Weather will be super nice, and Vikings radio indicated the field is in great shape.

If ever there was a game where we hope to see a difference between a Dom Capers defense and a Mike (Heavy) Pettine defense, this is it. And I hope it's a large, positive difference.

You have to figure out how to slow down Cook and get pressure on Cousins. Somehow.

But let's just start with defensive backs not blowing assignments, and go from there.
