  • Official Packers vs. 49ers Discussion Thread

Packers lead all-time series 35-30-1. Of that, 4-3 in post season.

Last meeting: Oct. 4, 2015 Packers beat 49ers 17-3. 49ers had fewer than 200 yards total offense and 8 1st downs. Colin Kaepernick did not take a knee. Packers sacked Kaepernick 6 times.

Currently, 49ers are being quarterbacked by C.J. Beathard who has replaced injured Garoppolo. Unsurprisingly, Beathard has been mediocre, throwing for 647 yards with 4 TD's and 4 INT's in 3 games. Matt Breida is their leading rusher, averaging 7.5 YPC on 49 rushing attempts. TE George Kittle is by far their leading receiver. 49ers run defense has been pretty good, allowing just 3.7 YPC. Pass defense has given up 12 TD's with just 1 INT.

If we don't screw up with stupid penalties and turnovers we should win this game.

Who cares? Brewers will be on. I'd rather watch a tight team playing solid ball.

I am pondering whether or not it is wise to attend this game in person. I don’t give a fuck ‘bout the Braves, err, Brew Crew, and there are alotta tickets available for less than a Benjamin.

Alas, I ain’t got a choice but to flip burgers for the minimum wage, so I ain’t got too many frogskins to share. But ever since that pompous Fishmonger in the White House shut down backpage, especially the escort section, i’ve been able to save a couple of bucks.

I might just go just to make my archenemy the Kentucky a little jealous.

Looks like Cobb and Allison will still be out this week.

Really? I just saw on the Packers' web site that Allison has been cleared from the concussion protocol.

Good Cobb and Allison will be available, but I'd still like to see MVS and ESB get plenty of snaps - they are the future, and they just might be better right now.

Allison still has a hamstring. So while one injury is cleared, the other may not be fully. Frankly, if the Pack can't beat a crappy 49ers team, the season is lost.

Should win this one on both sides of the ball. Then bye week to get healthy.

Spriggs was carted off the practice field with a serious knee injury.

According to PackersWire, it was an ankle injury for Spriggs.

Bulaga has a new knee injury.

Rodgers better get the ball out fast if he wants to play another game this year.

who the hell knows how this game is going to be? you'd think this game would be an easy win but that's what we thought about wash and det. i've grown used to the Packers being an enigma. it makes it hard to get excited about their games. meh has become the norm.

Or they leave Bell at RG and play McCray at RT. McCray played there last year, and Bell struggled at T during the preseason.
