    Michael Cohen @Michael_Cohen13
ICYMI: Rodgers and Brady last met four years ago at Lambeau Field, and there's plenty to learn from that matchup. Topics include:

    - Safeties on Gronk
    - Man coverage from the Pats
    - 20+ touches for Lacy
    - Rodgers' mobility
    - Cobb in the backfield

    Michael Cohen @Michael_Cohen13
#Packers have ruled WR Geronimo Allison (groin, hamstring) OUT for tomorrow’s game. They also added Tony Brown to the injury report (hip) and deemed him questionable.

#Packers have signed punter Drew Kaser. This is a puzzler. JK Scott is not injured or ill. Scott traveled with the team to Massachusetts. There has to be a reason...

FROM THIS REPORTING, I CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT KASER WILL BE IN THE BACKFIELD WITH COBB. POSSIBLY FOR QUICK KICKS OR DROP KICK FGs.

    Tom Silverstein @TomSilverstein
JK Scott is the #Packers long-term punter, but he might not be the punter Sunday. That’s all I was able to find out. The club had the 53rd spot open and maybe there’s something he does well that they need for this matchup. Whatever, it’s a certainty only one will be active.

DEAR GOD, IT IS BJ SANDER AGAIN
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

That remains to be seen. Sherman - for better or worse (I'd say better) - liked to come as close to the cap limit as possible i.e. maximize the benefit of it. I haven't really seen anything like that from Gutekunst; Have you?

OK, THE TWITTER READERS HAVE SOLVED IT AND I KNOW THE REASON!

Tom - Kaser is also a kick-off specialist. Could there be a problem with Crosby kicking-off ?

AND THE REASON IS FEAR OF MY BROTHER DAN CONNOLLY AND MY OTHER BROTHER CORDARRELLE PATTERSON

The big question is this a tactic (leg that will put it out of end zone even against wind or kick it to stratosphere) or a problem with the kickoff team's defense?

No kicker is on the injury report (Allison was declared out and Tony Brown has a hip).

Yes, we don't need another lineman returning a KO for 60+ yards carrying the ball like a bag of groceries!

              Some team should grab him.

He's talented, but his output has been nothing near his salad days with the Hawks.

                For once, agreed.

Sherman subscribed to Belichickism, and Belichickism is far superior to Polar Bearism.

Did I mention that Sherman never missed the playoffs as GM?

Ah, now I get the German Shepherd-Sherman comparison.

                  Another punter, eh?

Evidently Scott's wife is due to deliver any day now.

Yeah, let's hope there is a short-term reason like Pugger said. It looks like a strange move by Gutey, but hopefully ends up having a logical explanation. I can't imagine continuing on with two punters the rest of the year. That's even worse than carrying two fullbacks. I'm sure Kaser doesn't mind putting some more film out there, if he happens to be tonight's punter.

I just hope this roster move has no affect on them being able to possibly get Bruce Irvin. The Packers need to generate pass rush more without having to blitz to do so, and Irvin might help in that regard. He's not Seahawks Irvin, for sure. How did he get to be 31 being drafted in 2012? I just read his bio that said he was a high school drop-out, got his GED and went the JUCO route, which may explain why he would have been 24 when drafted in 2012.

Well that is news you can use. When did this pop up? Fits with Sherman's scheduling around family time and the holidays.

I was referring to having two punters (although it now seems his reason might be a good one). As for salary cap management, give him some time. He already has over 10% of his salary cap for this year tied up in over-the-hill veterans/problem children signed from other teams.

what other teams did sherman lead to the playoffs after he left green bay and HOFer brad Farf?

oh thats right, no one else in the nfl ever gave him a head coaching gig cause they knew his QB made him

he ended up coaching high school

                              this explains it all

if his wife goes into labor today, then he's got to miss the game. meaning we need a punter

this is actually a nice example of planning ahead
