  • Green Bay Packers - Seattle Seahawks Official Game Day Thread

Packers clash with the Seachickens tonight. Just as long as we don't have a Fail Mary or a Bostickler I think I will be OK.

Packers D was able to clamp down on a poor Dolphins O and despite getting in its own way several times the O put up 31. The special teams better pull its head out of its ass this week or FGs will turn into TDs against a better team.

That being said, this game I think is the toughest game left on the schedule. We have a short week with long travel to a team that is starting to play up to their potential. The Packers have to play well in all phases of the game.

The Packers put a 4th week in a row of decent to good football and pull out a nail biter in Seattle.

    Packers 34 - Seattle 31

But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Packers never win at Seattle against Carroll. Road teams almost never win the Thursday games. Packers can't win on the road this season. Prediction: Packers Win, Effers!!!

Russell Wilson is a helluva lot better than Osweiler, and playing to Packer weaknesses, he may even be better than Brady or Goff. However, their D has deteriorated and their O other than Wilson scrambling and either throwing or running is substandard.

So much working against the packers in this game. One thing about Capers/MM is they are both bad at changing styles. It took forever for Capers to adjust to mobile QB's and when he did, he kept running that same D against pocket passers (collapse the pocket instead of scheming pressure).

We have played a ton of pocket passers this year and scheming pressure has worked great. My big question is: Will Pettine adjust to his opponent and collapse the pocket tonight? Capers Ds played the seahawks very well. I would like to see more a of a dom vanilla D tonight. Stuff the run, collapse the pocket, run the ball effectively on offense.

Still, everything you say above is valid. We are playing a short week, travelling over the mountains to the best home field advantage in football. If we pull this one out then I have to believe MM has righted the ship and will probably save his worthless hide again.

doesn't look good. on the road, in sea where bad things happen, haven't won there in 10 years, the ref who fucked them in minn is presiding tonight, iffy injuries, natl press speculating about MM's future, Rodgers discontent, inconsistent O, and Packers luck, equal a one point loss.

Packers curb stomp the pathetic Seahawks on the way to 8 in a row before the playoffs.

Dive right, dive left and all 9s should be enough to beat the Hawks.
