  • The "Tampa 2" Defense

Originally known as the "Cover 2" and invented by Tony Dungy when he coached the Buccaneers, I'm guessing it was created primarily to stop Tampa's biggest headache at the time: Brett Favre. I could easily be wrong about this, but I'm guessing its the same reason Minnesota and Detroit are going to it too. Chicago started running it when Lovie Smith took over. I think its a good defense that can be exploited by a patient, balanced offense - its just a question of whether or not we will have the protection we need to do that this season.

Just felt like rambling a bit before I head off to church. Have fun, kids....
Always respect your opponent, even when you're kicking the crap outta him.

Now, where do you suppose we find a balanced, patient offense in the next 5 or so hours?
