I agree. If it's low scoring because both offenses suck, that's boring. But this is 2 really good defenses.Originally posted by Rastak View PostI like defense. Pinball scoring is boring.I can't run no more with that lawless crowd

Brutal. But remember they fixed it.
100% agree. Not sure what goofy ruling they made up.

But if the original call was incomplete, there's no reason for a player to pick it up. If it wasn't called incomplete, then the ref who picked the ball up screwed up.Originally posted by pbmax View PostThat was a catch by logic and the new rule and a failure to recover a loose ball by the Eagles. We'll have to agree to disagree. I recall a quote from Dick Butkus who was asked if ever wanted to play for another team and if I recall correctly he said he looked up at the scoreboard and the Vikings Packers was 2-0 on a safety and said he would have loved to be in that game.

well, when the ref is waving his arms and whistling the ball incomplete, why would a player think that they need to?Originally posted by Guiness View Postthis is messed up.
I don't think I've ever seen NO ONE recover the ball. Someone usually has the presence of mind to go pick it up!
this whole weekend has been a really bad look at the officiating of the nfl. the networks all have former refs in the both to tell us what the calls should be, and they are just as clueless as the guys on the field
officiating is a joke. like WWE bad, which is why you here more and more people talk about how the NFL is rigged. a holding call here or there, or a non call, or a bad call on an incompletion can completely change the outcome of a game. and everyone will just think its normal.
it won't surprise me if someday in the near future we find out that the outcome of games (who wins or losses) was all decided beforehand

And I would love to go back to watching games on small black and white tv's with no remote. No thanks.Originally posted by Rastak View PostWe'll have to agree to disagree. Not sure I'd go that far......they just seem to have a propensity for fucking things up.

is that when you were heartbroken to find out your team wears a dark shade of pink?Originally posted by Rastak View PostLOL, well. we can't all be happy I guess.
edit: For the record, we got a color TV in 1967 as I recall.
seriously through, what is it was minnesota and purple and gold? first the lakers, then the queens, hell prince even sang about it. does purple hold a special meaning over on that side of the river?

He left it alone until players went to sidelines.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostBut if the original call was incomplete, there's no reason for a player to pick it up. If it wasn't called incomplete, then the ref who picked the ball up screwed up.
Both Dungy and Harrison said they were taught to pick up any loose ball. Never let ref have it alone.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
