I get why we were cheering for the Rams but why are we cheering for the Patriots here? How exactly does this AFC game affect the Pack?

Patriots have worse record than Saints. If they lose today, they pick before Saints in draft, pushing Packer selection back.

If Patriots win, they pick behind Saints no matter the record and the Chiefs with better record push Saints to one pick higher I believe.
