  • OFFICIAL DAY 3------ROUND 4/5/6/7 OF NFL DRAFT

With no fourth rounders this may be a boring day and slow thread.

But Feel free to post WISHLISTS and any other thoughts
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Okay, I'm going to try to buck up here.

I say Gute will use one of his two sixths to move up to the top of the fifth (hell, a sixth rounder moved Detroit up seven spots in the third round) to take some running back who will look like the perfect fit for this zone-blocking run game. Some one-cut guy who has no home-run potential but who can consistently get yards. And maybe can even block, or learn to block.

His other sixth will be a lineman - whether offensive or defensive I don't know - or else some inside linebacker who is as quick as a Mexican jumping bean and weighs 210 pounds soaking wet.

In the seventh, he picks a wide receiver from St. Ignatius State College to play the slot receiver spot and compete with the likes of Jake Kumerow for that last spot.

This might be the guy Jenkins blocked for - and he might last until the 6th or FA because of his size.

Ras, if you have time, would you be willing to give us all your analysis of the Vikes' selections so far in the NFC North thread on the draft?

              HAKEEM BULTER just drafted

To add to our torture, we can select who we would have drafted his Hooters not traded our 4th away.

Too bad. I really wanted Butler. It'll be interesting to see how he does with Murray throwing him the ball. That is if Murray can stay upright and isn't running for his life on every play.

I'll try and do that later....I'm no expert but will put down what I can.

RB, CB, ILB, maybe DT (or we resign Wilkerson), maybe WR if there is value

Shoot. Tampa just took the kicker I wanted to see the Packers draft, just to get Tex's reaction to having a kicker named Matt Gay.

Had Gay in the 6th in My Mastery Mockery of Draft.

                            Poor man’s Sebastian Janknowski.

Packers could have used those fourth round picks, Still a lot of options at linebacker for the Packers,
