I’ve lost a amazing friend. Bart was a caring, loving and giving man. Words can’t express my feelings about him. He showed me how to be a great person, by the way he lived his life. Always making others happy. You are my hero. #RIPBart Mommy Cherry love you.

Today is a sad day. Bart Starr was truly one of the greatest, both as a quarterback and as a man. He deserves so much of the credit for five @packers championships. Bart, you were a special player and man, and you will be greatly missed by all of us. @nfl @ProFootballHOF

Yea, he posted a video message and said alot of good things about Bart.

My wife was a young teenager in the mid-sixties, and was attending a wedding with her family in Dallas.
        The Packers were in town.
On her way back to her room from the pool, Bart held a door open for her.
        So typical of a gentleman.

That stadium looks awfully small to be able to fit the 5 million people who all say they were at that game.

There were three people in each bleacher seat, on on top of each other like Yertle the Turtle.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

It jumps out that all the comments from the people who met him, say how good a man he was. He was the best of his era, a legend on the field, but an even better man. When we talk about "Packer People" he is what defined it.

That's how you stay warm at a game like that. Or some random drunken stranger could give your foot an invigorating rub, like what happened to my daughter at the Vikings playoff game.

I hope she dumped a cold can of beer down his jacket.

I was 4 years old, sitting in the Charlotte, NC airport when my grandpa whispered to my grandma he thinks Bart Starr is sitting next to him. Before he said anything, this gentleman leans over and says, "I see you're wearing Green Bay Packer shirts. Are you from Wisconsin?"... my Grandpa says, "yes we are. has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like Bart Starr?" Bart replied, "Well, my wife thinks I'm pretty good looking, but I'm just an old aging former Packer quarterback now. But yes, I am Bart Starr." He sat and talked to us forever, and took me into those old photo booths and took 4 snap shots with me in the booth. He signed it, "To the Packers future 1st round draft pick. Bart Starr" It was very cool, and even though it is now 34 years later I still remember that day. Unfortunately, my parents realized after doing a house remodel, they've lost that picture he took with me. It sucks, but the memory is awesome.

Nah, it was totally harmless. The guy was actually quite nice.
