  • Welcome Back, Ahman Green

You answered all of our questions about you today, and you were very impressive in doing so. you ran with power and exploded thru numerous would-be tacklers. your play today taught the rookies how to carry themselves, even in a losing effort.

I suggest mikey mac should go to a 52% run/48% pass mix to give the passing game time to jell and discover its rhythm - and a ball control offense would give our awful pass defense time to adjust to playing together.

    but anyway.

    welcome back batman....

Gado looked like he had cement in his cleats compared to Ahman. Green was powerful too.

Great to see. We'll definitely need him this year...

the old washed up guy looked good today

he ran like it was 2004, we didn't see that kind of running from him last year before the injury. which makes me think even more that his quad was a big problem last year, even before he tore it

Exactly right. This was the best he's looked since early 2004.

do you guys realise that all his runs for possitive yards was when the bears wher in dime an nickle offenses? Meaning that he only looked productive when the Bears figured there is no way you will run when you are 3rd and 20

I agree that when he had room to run, Green looked quick, decisive, and powerful. There were too many times, however, where Green had nowhere to run because the Packers' inexperienced line couldn't handle the middle of the Bears' d-line.

not true baddest. he had several runs on 1st and 2nd down that looked good overall. I remember one series where it was 3rd and 2 and green ran on 1 & 2...

                  nice try though....

nice rewriting of the truth. his biggest runs were on first down.

he finished with 110 yards, and on many of his runs he blasted through 2 and 3 tacklers, dragging them downfield...

say what you will about ahman, but he showed a huge degree of toughness today. after the game got so far out of reach he could have asked to be taken out to rest his newly repaired quadriceps but he choose to play till the end instead. i thought it was very impressive and is worth packer player of the week at the very least. a performance like his should serve as an inspiration to the horde of rookies on the team.

ahman don't talk shit, he just gets the job done through hard work, grit and determination. walter payton would be proud of him...

yeah but when you are down by 26 points whay are you still running? of course you are gonna get some good yards cuz no one thinks you are dumb enough to keep trying to run when you need quick scores. You see what happened when the Bears knew they had to run on 4th and inches. They got smashed each time. The Bears on the other hand made their 4th down attmepts.

Here is a list of all his runs. You can see yourself how insignificant they were and how they score was steadily creeping up and yet they just wanted to keep running.

I honestly think the Bears figured Brett would look to gun it downfield more than he actually tried and therefore kept an extra DB on the field at all times. That formula dont work well for Brett and that showed today.

according to your logic they never should have run at all, since the packers were already down 7-0 before their offense took the field.

and regardless of your logic, it still doesn't diminish what ahman green did today. he was clearly the best running back on the field.
