  • Watched the game on Game Pass late last night. Not terribly insightful, but these were my thoughts:

    * J. Moore has got to learn to use his hands. He was making good separation all night, but Lofton in the booth was able to quickly identify every time what was wrong with his hands on each catch. And Lofton wasn't exactly trying to analyze anything all night besides his joke content. But still, he's a hall of fame wide receiver, so he knows a thing or two about catching the ball. Moore needs to focus on the technique of catching. If he can, I think he's an NFL receiver. But that's a huge hurdle. Might be akin to Tebow changing his throwing motion for all I know: works in practice/offtime but goes out the window during games. I've had hope for Moore because of his athleticism, but after that performance, I'm moving more towards letting him fall off the back end of the roster. Three more games to validate his future (one way or the other).

    * I only noticed the one catch, but that adjustment/catch by Sheppard was nice. And he took a hit and hung on.

    * Tonyan also had a nice seam catch. He and Jace just might be the future in GB (if Jace lives up to potential).

    * Gary looks fast and explosive, but his aggression also seemed to take him out of a play or two. What I don't know is if that was by design (i.e. someone else was supposed to fill behind him). I speculate he's still getting up to speed on diagnosing plays live. Don't know how far he is from bonafide NFL starter; I would have liked to see Z.Smith on the same field to compare decision making prowess on holding the edge vs getting a push. In other words, Gary seemed to lose contain on a play or two; I just don't know if they were the right decisions.

    * Ty Summers looked fast. He got lost more as the game went on, but I think that's more "head spinning" than anything else. When he was decisive, he was good.

    * Kumerow was as expected. Tough catches, no drops.

    * Kizer was inconsistent, but he's more talented than Hundley. And still young so lots of room to grow.

    * I really liked Allen Lazard's catch. I want to see him have more opportunities, but it's still hard to see him onto the roster with all the WRs in front of him.

No longer the member of any fan clubs. I'm tired of jinxing players out of the league and into obscurity.

Aaron Kampman level would be an epic bust.

        • [QUOTE=JustinHarrell;1015921]Gary didn’t look as bad as you say. He did look winded and I guess you could judge that as lazy but he definitely was wore down from that long no huddle drive. He also showed some strength and speed. I was hoping for more tho.

Between the Packers and his agent, one of them should figure out it's time for some blood doping. Not detectable and pretty sure a lot of it goes on in the NFL (and many sports really).

This isn't college kid, you're making big coin and team has invested in you at the top end of the draft. Fix your conditioning! And if you can't by doing cardio workouts like a fiend, then look to other avenues.

Yeah, I saw in the other thread that Grant was gone already and Ibrahim Campbell is back - I was wondering why ESPN had him listed on the roster. I had hopes for Grant, but something must have been not right with him. Ditto that for Hall, maybe. Carson didn't look very good at all to me last night - stuffed just about every time while D. Williams came in under the same circumstances and did a lot better.

I, despite being well "indoctrinated," flip burgers literally AND figuratively - both for the minimum wage. While some burger joints do open 24 hours a day, the graveyard gig pertains to the "figuratively" part.

Sometimes I work 14 hours a day between both gigs. At the end of the day, instead of drinking a beer and enjoying the fruits of my labor, I get robbed dry by the vicious fishmongers. Self-preservation is slavery.

Anyways, have you seen the pic of Olivia Reiner on the previous page? Still don't think she's hot?

How would you feel if you spend 14 hours growing crops and maintaining a structure on your own land? Is that slavery?

Not a bad idea. I wouldn’t complain. And a guy as naturally physical, why not go even further with it. See what happens. Clay Matthews performance enhancers, I liked that he used them. I was disappointed when he almost got caught then stopped.

                  • lots of bright spots on D and O as far as depth goes. tackling was substandard but heck it was the first preseason game and played with 99% backup players. pretty much what you expect. encouraging as a whole. love that that hou cheapshot artist got toasted by lazard for a td.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Stands are empty at the start. I just saw Red.
Not a good effort on kickoff return. Should have downed it in regular season plus a penalty.
DeBeer got worked on first snap pass pro. Light let the OLBget his hands in first and was never in control. But OLB was too slow reading it to get to QB.
