3rd down defense not very good tonight. Gotta get off the field, even if you're 3rd/4th string

Hollman had tight coverage all day but I was a little disappointed in his lack of ball awareness. Looks fast and serviceable but doesn’t have that hyper awareness like Alexander.

Chandon Sullivan really getting his chance to make the team. They have him playing nickel and dime today. If he’s smart and can handle the extra responsibility, he’s got himself a spot. I don’t know what his job is play in and play out, but he’s getting a chance to show other aspects to his game today. I’m pulling for him. We always need those backup DBs, every year.

Blake Martinez said he’s most impressed with raven Greene at ILB. Have a feeling that’s our guy for a couple weeks at least.

Lazard over Shep now. Shep doesn’t block and only st value is Returner. I think Lazard makes our team.

If your impressed by 2nd and 3rd team players playing more 2nd and 3rd team players in a meaningless preseason scrimmage game, then I have some old work boots for sale that may have a few miles left in them.

Yes, 2nds and 3rds do need the chance to try to make the team. However without some real game time for ALL the #1s, opening night vs he Bears will be sloppy at best. I know the arguments, "Were protecting our Stars from injury" and "We can be ready with the #1s with safer practices".

I say that there is no substitute for the speed and aggressiveness of a real game. The timing of both the passing and the running game suffer without SOME game time. The first 20 to 30 minutes of the final preseason game should have been dedicated to playing the week 1 starters.

Dexter Williams makes it. He’s good. Kizer made the decision tough. Chandon Sullivan got some new responsibilities tonight. Was he sure enough to lock his spot down. Keke always flashes. Hollman physical, fast, tough but lacks ball awareness. Definitely serviceable cover guy tho. Markus Jones I think his name was played well. The TE Balis played well. Ficken made it a competition. I wouldn’t be shocked if he made the team. JK Scott punted great all preseason.

Not many of tonight’s players gonna make the team.

How much did the Bears starters play this preseason?

Nobody told me shoes had mileage. The past few
weeks I worked far more OT than my body could handle in a pair of overused Nikes. Consequently, my upper legs are a bit fucked up right now.

As capitalism is cruel, I lacked the option take 3-4 weeks off to rest the the tired legs. Hopefully the legs heal on their own during my goddamned split days off.

And as capitalism is cruel, I’m hesitating to see a doc. They’re just gonna charge me $400 for a 5 minutes session where the doc takes a peak at the leg. And then schedule an X-Ray the next week, which would cost me another $600. Then a bunch of follow ups at 400 a piece. God forbid, I need surgery.

                              Capitalism created surgery.
