  • Lincoln - Kennedy

Last year, the opener had the Packers facing a new head coach with a new offensive system.
This year, the Bears will face a new head coach with a new offensive system,

Last year, the Packers couldn't really prepare : Nagy didn't show much in preseason.
This year, the Bears can't really prepare : LaFleur didn't show much in preseason.

Last year, the Bears were facing a new defensive coordinator.
This year, Fangio is gone & Pagano is the dc.

Last year, the Bears had a brand new pass rush, Mack, the Pack had little experience with.
This year, the Packers will throw the Smith Brothers Coughdrops (+ Gary) at the Bears.

    Hmmmm......

Similar. Last year we somehow won. Let’s hope for the same result

Easiest win of the season. 27-10
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

I'd be ok with some late game heroics, but we could all do without the injury to Rodgers.

            Don’t think Lincoln likes theaters.

In other words, Packer fans have NO clue what to expect versus the Bears, not even the foggiest of all foggiest clues. Trying to predict the outcome is an absolute guess.

However, when you strip everything away and boil it down to which team would take the bigger punch in the face with the loss week one at Soldier Field, it’s certainly the Bears!
If the Bears lose week one at home to our Packers with our brand spanking new Guy LaFleur head coach, they’re up a creek with no paddle going into week 2. The Packers with the loss could survive, as I see it, like every year when you face a divisional foe for week one, you think “we’ll get them back at home.”
Also, there’s nothing other than the Aaron Rodgers factor to suggest that the Packers could pull off a win week one at Bears.

He was a very good lineman. And his parents were apparently English lit majors. His full name, as of Pro Football Reference, is Tamerlane Lincoln Kennedy.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

They do look to better on defense this year - on personnel alone. But as above, no evidence yet that translates to on the field success.
