If the season were over right now, Bear, Rams and Cowboys would all be out of the playoffs. Realistically, Cardinals, Falcons and Redskins probably are out of the playoffs.

Packers at 64.6% chance of making playoffs. Packers currently tied with Eagles for best odds at #2 seed. Saints with best odds for #1 seed.

Thanks Joe. It will be interesting to see how well Brees bounces back from the passing hand thumb issue. I don't remember the exact year, but Favre played the better part of a season with a passing hand broken thumb (hairline fracture, but c'mon...sheeeet..). Favre stated he played because it would only hurt bad for 2 - 3 seconds after a throw or hand off. It might have been in his Vicodan days (daze), but still.

1999 - sprained thumb in preseason game (hit helmet of Mobley, DenverLB) , 2003 on shoulder pad of teammate vs. St. Louis. Brees' injury is the ulnar collateral ligament; the surgery re-inforced the repair without a k-wire through the joint so he can move it while it heals I think.
