  • Official Week 5 Packers-Cowgirls Gameday Thread

Ok, so I don't particularly like the obligation and responsibility that comes with doing the gameday thread so I picked a game many are picking the Pack to lose. If I'm going to get stuck doing 15 straight of these bad boys its going to start by Punking those bitches in their own backyard.

To bring back one of my few fond memories of Fat mike I'll fire up the way back machine to 2007 when the Packers lost a rough one IN Dallas to drop to 10-2. A reporter asked then not so fat mike how damaging it was to lose this one and potentially have to go back TO Dallas for a playoff game now instead of having Home field. M3 snapped "I don't really care where the game will be played. We'll play them in the parking lot in Dallas if we have to".

We've come a long way since Pittsburgh tough mike coached Green Bay, but with a new defensive attitude and a fresh faced coach on the rise, this is the kind of game that can give a team confidence (and home field games in the playoffs).

Pettine is going to have this D ready for Zeke. He will force Dak to beat us. Although the similarities from then to now are many, the score will be different. I'm predicting a perfect reversal of that score from 2007.

Green Bay 37 Dallas 27. Its only that close because of a meaningless TD at the end of regulation with under 30 seconds to go. Rodgers completes passes to 7 or more offensive players. Tonyan scores a TD. Kumerow moves the chains on all 3 of his catches for first downs. The fuckdoggles rule the day!!

I like the optimism and was on board til you said the Packer D would stop Zeke...

Zeke doesn't hit 60 yards and AR destroys their secondary. JK gets 6.

He will probably get 100 and we will swear a lot, but they will stack up and stop him just often enough to force Dak's hand....and that is where we stop them, maybe even get a pick or 2. As long as are special teams aren't....special, we will manage him. If our tackles can slow a really good rush, or if we can run against an undersized fast front 7 we will score. For a road game against a tough team, I really like our chance off 10 days rest.

            The punter scores a TD?

            Huge if true.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

They are going to sell out on early downs and get burned a few times. But it gets easier closer to the goal line. Boys will move the ball. Would be good game for ST to help tip the field since D will be up against it.

Rodgers needs to get Packers a lead.

I don't think either of those things go well and they’ll ride the Rodgers offense in the second half to a comeback.

DK got 6 against the Rams. Pack could use DK today.

I agree with your assessment. I can recall past games/seasons where Adrian Peterson was so feared that he could not be shut down, and then he was. It is a matter of deception, focus, and discipline to shut down a star player, but it can be done. Also with the very good secondary coverage, stopping the run can benefit from a LB or Safety not dropping into pass coverage all the time.

10 days of rest and preparation time should also contribute to fresher legs and hopefully quicker players.

One of his two catches. He might have a chance to hit the field if Pete ever decides to let Wilson pass.

Packers with a great effort today but I don’t think it is enough to overcome all of the injuries.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Eagles DE Derek Barnett was fined $28,075 for his hit that concussed #Packers RB Jamaal Williams on Green Bay's first offensive play last Thursday. Williams is also not playing tomorrow because of the hit.

Play was not flagged. Either get rid of relay OR review everything in real time with eye in sky.

He should have been suspended for the week also.
