Too bad about Tonyan. I think he'd be a major part of this week's game plan with all the receivers hurt.
    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

What happened to Savage? Any idea when he'll be back?

        I predict

        Raiders -- 22

        Packers -- 34

He got rolled up on in a way that would have ended most players season but he’s bendy like Gumby so his knee, hip and ankle all bent and he ended up with a high ankle sprain. Based on previous high ankle sprains, 6 weeks is kind of a common time line. He’s young so that makes you think it could be quicker, but it was an unusually severe looking roll up so maybe 6 is a reasonable timeline

At this point if we beat the raiders I would rather play Maholmy. Iron sharpens iron and it would be a good test/learn for our D. It would be different if we were fighting for last playoff spot or if we lose to raiders...then the win is more important.

I would agree. I would like to have seen him get a chance to strut his stuff. Including his improved blocking skills.

I see that Kenny Clark is questionable. I think the big guy could use a week off, get healthy. Put the other big guys in there, give them some reps. Lancaster, I think, is the guy they've got.

I do think this will be a tough, tough game, with a band-aid receiving corps and no Savage nor possibly Clark. Unfortunately, I will not be able to watch the game, not even on the computer, as a little granddaughter is turning three tomorrow and having a big party featuring Minnie Mouse.

Clark has sort of been invisible lately. Injuries must be taking their toll because he was really good early.
