Raise your hand if you predicted at this point of the season that the Bears and Cardinals would have the same winning pct.

49ers opponents this season have a combined winning pct. of .282. They have beaten Buccaneers, Bengals, Steelers, Browns, Rams and Redskins. Their remaining opponents have a combined winning pct. of 42-25-2.

I think it’s still too early to talk playoffs just yet. I know you get all Cheezy when you start thinking about it but there’s still so much that can happen. There’s injuries and there’s losses that can start adding up. I say just take one game at a time and enjoy the season.

The NFL Network this morning said that the Packers look like a team that’s just getting going and they’re ageing like a fine wine.
6-1 is nice record to sit back and consider.

It would be rare indeed though for a 6-1 team to miss the playoffs. At this point they could go 4-5 the rest of the way and have a good shot.

Football Outsiders https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/playoffodds puts their odds at 84.9%.

Also, this chart shows likelihood of making playoffs based on current record based on 1990-2013. I doubt odds have changed much.

Fair enough, but remember the 2011 season? We were 15-1 the #1 seed in the NFC but were punched in the face by the Giants and ousted in the first round. The only thing that took the sting out of that was we won the title the year before.

            Stupid Bears.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Now that’s interesting, explains how the 9ers are sitting with that perfect record. Also nice to know that they’ll probably suffer a loss or 2 soon enough.

Its a good question, what could bite you in the ass? Giants won 2 Super Bowls by being able to pass rush with four. Inside pressure.

                a) Offense is more diversified now

                b) Coach won't take first half to decide the pass rush is a problem.

                c) QB might let the shorter throw fly.

Long way to go though. Things can change.

Does anybody not think the Aints ain't the team to beat this year? In addition to being a really good team, they get to play Atl and Tampa twice, and on top of that they get the NFC West and the AFC South this year. Remaining road games: Tampa, Atlanta, Tennessee, Carolina. They could easily be 15-0 going into the last game @ Car. It's going to be tough to knock them off at home in the playoffs.

The Packers and their fans are clearly paying off the refs, so I expect much the same result as last year's NFC Championship game. With a review.

Yes, and Packers will have to pay for sins of the Rams. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around: sacrifice the ram and save the child? Or is it a lamb? Whatever it was, Saints appear to be this year's team of destiny.
