The Packers claimed a pair of players off waivers: DT Gerald Willis and DE/OLB Jamal Davis. Both were released by the Dolphins and both were undrafted free agents in 2019. Willis originally signed with the Ravens and played in two games for Miami last... https://es.pn/2x1APrw
IIRC Jamal Davis had an insane combine last year, and was pretty good at small school Akron. Good competition for Greg Roberts, Tim Williams, and Randy Ramsey to take the #4 OLB spot.

      • If Willis can keep his head on straight, he seems like he could be the guy to pair with Kenny Clark. Davis too sounds like a cheap long shot with good potential.

Yeah saw that. Doubt he's on the radar for GB after they drafted all those IOL.
It does make me wonder: remember when Fluker and Chance Warmack were drafted and seen as cornerstone can't miss OL prospects? Does Alabama produce good OL?

I'm also wondering, in light of GB drafting ZERO WRs in a deep draft, if they are planning to wait for veteran cuts at WR. The other thing is maybe they pick up some of the late round WRs they passed on who could get cut this fall or signed to practice squads. (Quez Watkins, KJ Hill, etc.)

Veteran DT Timmy Jernigan, who agreed to terms with the #Texans, announced on Instagram that the deal fell through and he won't be joining the team. He's back on the market.

It would be great if the Packers picked up a WR who could average a stat line like:

                50 receptions, 700 yards, 6 TDs

Imagine this guy next to the skill of Adams, the possession ability of Lazard, and the speed of MVS!

Oh wait, he's already here...his name is Devin Funchess.

Ken Ingalls - Packers Cap @KenIngalls
In his last 2 seasons with the run-heavy Panthers, Funchess averaged 53.5 catches, 694.5 yards, and 6 TDs. Last year with the Colts he signed a 1 year, $10M contract but was injured in the opening game.

I am not sleeping on him, are you?

                • Uh, I sorta am. I wouldn't mind being proved wrong, but I see Funchess as about sixth best Packer WR - and that's assuming he's better than Kumerow, which to me ain't even a sure thing.

                  • Funchess is better than Kumerow, whether you compare 1st & 2nd seasons as pro, total production, or last 2 seasons (Funchess was hurt in game 1 last year).

Funchess walks into camp on Day 1 as the #3WR at worst; whether any of the younger WRs (MVS, EQ, Bagel, Kumerow) can leapfrog him remains to be seen.

                    • There appears to be mutual interest with Vikings free agent Everson Griffen.

Not sure how this fits scheme wise.
