They thought he was down so they blew the whistle. I agree in hindsight it would have been better not to but there was no clear recovery so the call was right.

Technically yes. But I’m saying they messed up blowing it dead. Officials are told not to do that for that exact reason. Left auto replay correct it. It’s happened a dozen times this year alone.

Penalizing a team that forced a turnover is the ultimate bs. At least tweak the rule in future to not penalize the team when refs fuck up.
