I just get the impression that the Packers didn't really think they had a chance.

That team had no chance due to injuries. This team was as healthy as you can get.Originally posted by Bossman641 View PostIs this worse then the 2016 Nfccg in Atlanta? I've blocked that game from memory
The only thing that takes the sting out of this is that the Packers have already exceeded expectations. I never thought they'd win 13 games. Like a lot of people, I was looking to next year as the year they maybe return to Super Bowl contention.I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places

But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud

We won 14 games this year and ended up as the number 2 seed. We made it to the Conference Championship game.Originally posted by Bretsky View PostThat's what makes this so hard. AROD's not getting any younger, or better.
Do we go ALL in and get AROD some legitimate weapons ? And just trust Gary might not be a sack for shit next year and develop into what a top 12 draft pick should be ? Or do we keep loading up on speed and defense.....or just plan for the future..........
Some teams don't match up with other teams. We don't match up with SF. I think we would have lost to NO.
I think we would have lost to KC.
But, we match up with everybody else in the NFC. We lack play makers on offense. We have a poor run D, but football analytics say that doesn't matter. Except when it does.
Our OLBs play to rush the passer. They don't hold the edge. Do you get rid of them? Replace them with a more complete OLB?
The only answer is to fill the holes you have during the draft and possibly sign a free agent or two.
We're not getting rid of Rodgers. He's not the primary reason we're losing this game. He'll be back next year, the year after, and probably the year after that.
Get him some weapons and get ready for next year.
