Yeah, they did a lot of this winning with numbers stuff. Interesting how they leave a guy unblocked, but in many cases it was Blake or Goodson or Z.Smith, and asking those guys to have the COD and speed to catch Mostert one on one is asking a lot. Basically, Shanahan schemed mismatches.

The offense didn't help the defense out - that fumble was a real killer. Getting the score to 17-7 would have regained some momentum. All the same, credit to them -- their OL, RB, and scheme completely flummoxed the Pettine D (along with many others this year).

I don't see 17-7 stopping the 49ers from running the ball down the D throats.

Offense did not help. But I don't think it could have. D was COMPLETELY unprepared in the first half.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

        I can't run no more
        With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
        Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
        A thundercloud

It's hard to understand how you can't be ready or motivated for payback against a team that whupped you last time, AND for the rematch to include a Superb Owl trip for the winner.
The SF game plan was smart and well executed, but GB seemed too stunned to punch back in the 1st half, and only when SF played soft in 2nd half did they made some inroads.

            Maybe "snubby's" thoughts were elsewhere.

I can't wait to debate the travel schedule for every away game next year.

This stuff is crazy. They went early to SD. Got their hindquarters kicked. Went normal schedule to San Fran for a 5:40 start, which would be a Lambeau night game start so they got plenty of lead time and got waxed again.
