CONF Pac-12 - South JERSEY #2 CLASS Senior HT 6'0" DOB 03/17/1998 WT 201 lbs
Route Tree - If you play off, he's going to tear you up. Super athlete with looseness to his frame and the ability to create false steps in space. Sells whip and vertical stems very nicely and shows sharp snap at top of routes. Struggles versus press to stack and play through contact.
Hands - He'll let a few get away from him that should end up as catches, but generally speaking he's got plucky hands and will quickly snatch the ball as it enters his frame. Strength for high point situations is present. Would like to see him tuck ball more secure after the catch, however.
Contested Catch Ability - He's not the tallest receiver but he does have ample reach and he's super springy to go up above the rim and rip the ball down with authority. He tracks the ball well vertically and shows ability to adjust his body and react or flash his numbers to back shoulder throws.
RAC Ability - He's a game breaker. Has shown skills as a ball carrier in the return game as well and often called upon in tunnel screen game to find reps in one on one with a defender. He's fluid, loose and has a natural feel for finding grass and creating creases for himself.
Football IQ - He struggles most on routes working back downhill to the LOS, especially when in tight man coverage. Thrives more in space and will need accommodations here while he's building out his release resume in order to find early impact he's got the potential for.
Vertical Receiving Skills - His accelerator is awesome to watch, you see him put the gas pedal down after a head fake and he'll bow his route to stay clear of contact and accelerate to space. His ball tracking ability down the field is quite good and shows good body control and ball tracking ability.
Change of Direction Ability - He's about as twitchy as you'll find. He's going to stress defenders in one on one off coverage or once he's secured the ball and turns up into the alley to avoid him opening their hips and cutting across face. Dynamic lower half with explosive, dynamic steps to cover ground.
Speed - Plenty of juice. You get him in the open field and let him open up his strides and he's going to blow you away. Really appreciate his ability to open up his strides as a route runner too, is going to force respect and soft coverage at the top of his route breaks with his juice.
Competitive Toughness - Brings good effort to the field both with the ball in his hands and when his teammates are looking to work up the field. His ability to defeat press coverage isn't consistent yet and more authority/physicality to play through contact will unleash his game further.
Blocking Ability - Effort is good and so is his baseline of skills. Lateral quickness to move his feet is effective and shows plenty of length and upper body strength to stay persistent and lean on defenders who look to shoot across his face.

Summary - Brandon Aiyuk is a dynamic receiving prospect who possesses an exciting ceiling at the NFL level. Thriving in vertical routes and in run after catch scenarios, Aiyuk is a height/weight/speed mismatch who showcases splendid short area quickness, explosiveness and ability to stress coverage vertically. He'll need to hone is releases versus physical press coverage but in the meantime Aiyuk could find immediate success in the slot while honing boundary skills.
I can't run no more

While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud

But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.
