  • 2019 Ty Summers Draft Interivew

    Hey,

I covered Ty Summers in high school in Texas. Last year he was drafted at 226 (Steve Tasker was a 226 pick in 1985). Here is an interview I did with him in 2019:

Speaking of Summers, dude is a hell of an athlete. He showed a little bit last year. If he can take a second year leap, that would do wonders for that ILB group with Kirksey and Kamal Martin. A lot of people thought he'd go higher last year. I actually have more hope for him than Oren Burks.

Wasn't there another ILB that looked okay in camp and got hurt?

I think you're talking about Curtis Bolton. I liked him better than Summers. According to Google, he's still with the Packers.

Yup, that's him. Athletic/undersized LB. IR'd him in camp. He'll be back to compete for a spot.

We never really got to see Bolton. Summers looked okay for a young guy who everybody said needed seasoning. We'll see. Both are athletic. Summers 240+ lbs. I think Bolton barely cracks 220 lbs.

Welcome aboard Mr. Bowtie... nice job on the interview.

I'm a Ty Summers fan - think he's a much better player than Oren Burks.

Here is a Bretsky for you.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
