If he got 22M per for 3 years extension. 66 for three years plus the 15 for this year. That's 4 years, 82M and would take him to age 33. 20.5 per year.

Or just let him go and keep everyone else.
Probably let him go. Jordan Love is a really good athlete and can really move around if you know what I mean. LT is probably overrated in an offense with a QB that can move so well. Heck if Ryan Tannehill can do it almost anyone can.

Probably would be smarter to get another Edge Rusher instead!!!

Ryan Tannehill has a super star left tackle, though.

You don't let the best LT in the NFL walk. 33 is not that old. Chad Clifton was solid until 33 it appears. It'll be fine.

It's not even about his performance. They have the next guy there in Gary, and Preston makes a lot of money. They need to free up money. They have a natural out in the contract after this season. I would be shocked if it doesn't happen. Mean Dean too.

Preston Smith signed a 1 year, $1,255,000 contract with the Washington Commanders with an average annual salary of $1,255,000.

Dean Lowry signed a 2 year, $5,000,000 contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers with an average annual salary of $2,500,000.

Easily worth it to bring back Bak. I doubt they bring back Linsley despite him being very solid.

I'm not sure what the rush is to get rid of Preston Smith. He's a good player. Gary is pushing for playing time, but Big Z's versatility allows the Packers to play all three OLBs--because Big Z plays a lot of snaps on the interior DL. In fact, both Smith's are playing close to 90% of snaps--while Gary is also playing a high number of snaps (close to 60%). You don't get rid of pass rushers--unless you have to.
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

We have to keep Preston. We have to put the best team possible around what will be the new young QB. He is gonna need all the help he can get plus with Rodgers contract gone Smith’s contract won’t be that big a deal.

I _don't_ like getting rid of him, but that's the only path I can see towards paying Baktiari a fat raise unless they really do plan on ARod coming off the books after next year.

Rodgers “has to come off the books after next year.” The hand has already been forced and collateral damage done. It’s already a done deal.

Rodgers gets freedom and a real opportunity to win Super Bowls.

Green Bay gets Gute and “Purgatory”. I can’t wait to see how much all these people Love Him so much in a couple years!!!

I honestly don't understand this take. Has Gooter not aggressively went after free agents? What about Z? What about Smith? What about the safety? He went hard to fill the RT spot this year and MLB. I don't _get_ why you think they're not playing for the present and don't have a chance.

So far the offense has looked quite capable and better than I imagine most of us thought it would be. Maybe this is what they expected given that they see these dudes day in and day out?

I’m more or less happy with the FA moves on defense. Not happy with the overkill of drafting Gary 14th or trading up for Savage. Obviously trading up for Love. The resources could of been better used. Every pick counts!!!

We’ve played two of the worst secondaries and defenses in the NFL. At least bottom 10 and probably closer to bottom 5. Let’s see what this offense does tomorrow. Sounds like Darrius Shepherd was activated. I suppose Lazard is the No.1 tomorrow. Let’s see!!!

"Trolls" typically aren't on the hook betting on the their team though for hundreds to thousands of dollars!!!

"Trolls" Don't typically buy homes close to Lambeau Field to have a better game day experience!!

"Trolls" Don't spend thousands of dollars going to both home games and traveling to away packer games!!

"Trolls" Don't open up their home to certain Packer personnel over the years!!!

                                Cut the BULLSHIT!!!

I Love Green Bay and The Packers. I won't tolerate a dysfunctional and mediocre GM and you shouldn't either!!!
