  • Official Week 2 Loins Thread.

    In Lambeau.

Does the Pack play down to the kitties or are Division Games just tougher?

  • #2
I don't know about "Playing down to the Kitties" here. This Lions roster is pretty loaded and IMO better equipped then what we saw against the Queens. I felt really good going into last Sundays game and I don't have near that same level of confidence heading into this one.

The Lions have massive speed on the second level and have athleticism upfront as well. I expect much better corner play assuming Coleman and Trufant can go for them.

On offense i like Stafford better the Cousins. They have a stacked receiving corp with a competent TE with a staple of backs. If we don't have KC I don't know how we even slow them down.

I expect lots of points. Well have to win the turnover battle once again and guys like MVS can't drop drive killing first downs and TD's for the Packers to win. It's that simple!!!

And all their cornerbacks have hamstring injuries coming out of week 1.

Oh, I thought this was a thread about Kenny Clark and his injured loins. (At least it isn't about BF and his loins, that would go straight to GC).

Having paid no attention to draft or preseason and barely watching yesterday - I have no idea how this will play out.

Just tuning in on game day and hoping for a good game - if we’re decent and make a playoff push - sweet.

I expect a really good game and as long as the Packers keep Rodgers upright with no major injury there will certainly be a playoff push.

Lions OL looked spotty at best against the Bears. Their DL looked weak. They're competitively built otherwise, but their chances at winning against good teams is slim. Good game for our injured OL to mend up for actual challenges of the near future.

Rodgers puts another notch in his 2020 MVP belt.

I think Stafford is better than Cousins too, and he usually plays good against the Packers. I don't think they have near as good an O Line to protect him as Cousins did, though. Hopefully Smith, Smith, and Gary can get home a few times.

And yeah, they do have fair talent and an ability to rise up occasionally. However, it must be really frustrating to be a fan of them, because they seem to have more capacity to choke than any other team I can think of.

Another big game for Rodgers and another big Packer win - hopefully with most of our defense problems cleaned up.

Kenny Clark is the most overrated player on the team. Should have let him walk. That being said the O Line injuries are not good and the Pack need some help there.

Should destroy the Lions so that means we lose.

Your statement that kc is the most over rated player on our roster really makes me question where your optomitrist got his certification.

To me I have some confidence our ol can slow down their d enough for ar to make an injured secondary pay.
My biggest concern for us is if our 'overrated' nt is out how do we slow them down. When Clark is in everyone else on our d looks much better.

So in week 2 it comes down to injuries. Man that feels early.

Lions under Patricia have given GB problems.
Stafford is a very good QB most of the time and I'd take him over any NFCN QB not named Rodgers.
Don't know if home field is really an advantage with no fans, I actually wonder if it helps both offenses the same.

Lions have issues with their secondary right now, Rodgers could have another good day. OL will be tested.
I expect Lions to run at GB and see if they can stop Peterson, Kerryon and De'Andre. I haven't heard what's up with Kenny Clark but if he's able to play that helps them out.

I thought MIN-GB was going to be a low scoring game; I won't make that mistake with DET-GB. If GB wins this, they are in the driver's seat for the NFCN at 2-0 (division games no less) with the ever present possibility a COVID outbreak could shorten the season. Plus, it's at Lambeau, and I hate to see GB lose at home.

1st half will be interesting- assuming Clark’s out and we don’t make big changes in LB/Secondary - giving up 3 4th q TDs and 2pt conversions could’ve been a prevent def aberration or a sign that the D is vulnerable.

I want to see what Daylan Mack can do - preferably along side Clark, but replacing him if necessary.

O’Day is an idiot and the antithesis of everything I am. Plus, an argument could be made that he has supplanted the Kentucky as my archenemy. But for once on this forum, O’Day is correct about something.

                              Clark is overrated. Now overpaid.

Stopping the run starts with the D-Line and the D-Line starts with Clark. Suffice it to say, Clark ain’t the Gravedigger as a run stopper. As a pass rusher, Clark shows up once in a fucking blue moon to inflate his stats against cupcakes.

Peter Griffen or Deputy Nutz could be signed off the streets of Baltimore, and either one of them could Kung Fu with the same milksopiness Clark does.
