The shine has come off him. Between the 49ers' reputed interest in Brady, Shanahan's criticism and very little dead money left after this year, if he doesn't perk up is he done in San Francisco? His cap hit is pretty reasonable by current standards at 26.6M next year.

There were some throws yesterday that just looked like wounded ducks lobbed up for the receivers to fight for. Overall I was not impressed. I think he's a average-ish starting QB. There are times he looks pretty good and others... I dunno. Would you take him over Kirk Cousins or Jared Goff? Baker Mayfield? Gardner Minshew?Comment
