A+, Signed AR for Life, Signed Clark, next he will get Jones and Bahk signed. Lazard is a legit #2, MVS stretches the field and we have a fun crop of TEs.

Savage, Smiths, Gary and going to lock up our secondary LETS GO!

The guy is living off of Ted Thompson. Tried to Back Door AR12 and literally hanged him out to dry. I don’t even know he walks around with a straight face.

He should be so ashamed of himself he should just resign.

            2. "Game changers" cannot be the only measure of a good draft. You also need to evaluate how the GM has restocked supporting casts and account for the unpredictability of projecting future growth.

I suppose more time should be allowed but you can usually tell what you have early. A. Jones, Bak, Jaire, D. Adams, Jenkins all showed early they belonged. Even Lindsley to a degree. Sometimes you get into year 2 and 3 with these guys and your still just hoping for something that’s never gonna happen.

I suppose with Gute my main objection is the direction or “Clear Vision” and what I would of preferred.

With the wr I keep thinking / hoping for the third year jump that nelson jones and Adams all made. If one of Lazard mvs brown do that we are very happy
If only mvs could have better hands...

Cutting Preston Smith, Wagner, Kirksey and Lowry would free up 21.5 million on the cap.

It will be interesting to see who they prioritize next year. The big question is how much of a hit will the pandemic put in their cash reserves and how that affects signing bonuses for new contracts.

Seems he has done a very good job of adding solid to very good fa's and did so in a way that doesn't f'up cap flexibility.

As far as wr, I think Lazard has proven he is a legit #2 wr.

Was Aaron Rodgers a “game changer” in 2006? He was a bust.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

Injured in the only game he got to play if I remember right. A first round fragile Tedford bust.

It's hard to judge Gutebag for a while. So many random thoujghts

                            THE GOOD
                            1. KUDOS for hiring Matty although if you read between the lines you might think MMurphy made that call
                            2. He made some great free agent signings that helped them go 13 and 3 last year
                            3. He seemed to make a good call on a cost effective LT and brought in and brought back Mercedes Lewis, and that DUDE CAN BLOCK

                            THE IN BETWEEN
                            1. Huge gamble in drafting a QB when the we have an elite QB who wants to play four more years. All signs are that won't be in GB and how well Love Does will define Gutebag

                            THE UGLY

1 No matter how you shake it out, injuries aside, it looks like we're getting little to nothing out of Rounds 1 to 3 in this year's draft.
                            2. Our DL is suspect at best and weak at worst and we still lack WR talent although having an elite QB and RB allows us to get away with that so far
                            3. Drafts have been suspect. TT in his prime was a stellar drafter but not a lot of activity in FA; Gute seems more attune to explore free agency but less effective on draft day.

TIME WILL TELL ON GUTEBAG; does he lead AROD to be more than a Ron Wolf FART IN THE WIND ? Kudos if he does; if AROD does not win another title we'll be wondering how things might have been different if he had the stones to go up in front of Dallas and get CeDee Lamb or up higher to get Aiyuk. Both look pretty dam good and are producing more then our entire draft this year.

Hopefully he brings us a title before AROD goes and plays for the Vikings ))
                            3.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Lazard was a low priority scrap heap scoop by Gute that might be as good as there is in the league from that undrafted pile of toss around's. Scooping a young guy like that is more like a draft pick than free agent so id add that to the Jaire draft.

                              Draft 1
Jaire (best corner in football so far this year. A true star)
JK Scott/Bradley (a solid ST duo)
MVS (top 5 player in over 40 yard catches over last three years)
                              Burks/Jackson (special teams contibutions
Lazard(undrafted from.this draft and scooped by gute mid season)

Jaires star burns bright enough for this to be a solid B draft. It's not often you get top 50 NFL players and Gute did. He solidified the ST specialists and got a deep threat who teams are double covering)

                              Draft 2
Gary (looking like a really good pick. Somewhere between solid and superstar with the way he's flashed this year.)
Savage (looks like a really good pick)
Jenkins (a great pick. Tackle, guard, center)
Sternberger (signs of being a great r3 pick)
Keke (looks like a great r5 pick)
Hollman/dexter/summers (probably not but ST depth)

This could be a really good draft. We might have 5 starters in this group and up to 3 probowl players if some of the high potential shown early in their careers is fulfilled. Can't grade it yet, but this sure could be an A+ draft, the kind that puts a team over the top this year as they approach the better parts of their careers.

If gute drafts as well as he seems to be, the Jordan Love pick won't hurt him too bad even if he doesn't pan out. Jamaal Reynolds never defined Wolfs career even though he was a high first round pick. But Love does have a chance to make Gute a legend too. So let's hope!

Free agency has been really good
                              Z
                              P
                              Amos
                              Turner
                              Wagner
                              Kirksey

                              Jimmy Graham.was an expensive miss

With that second draft looking so promising and the blue chipper from his first...... Plus the solid free agent activity. We’re lined up for a legitimate shot at the super bowl this year. Gute is looking better and better as time passes and his draft picks reach their full potential.

A Superbowl victory is very possible this year. Obviously that would make gute a semi hero. But if he dances the right way with the tough salary decisions that are looming, there's even a chance he could win 2. Gute has a chance to be great!
