Ertz, even with a few weeks of a high ankle, wouldn’t be the worst thing. He’d get a chance to learn the offense and then make a playoff push with his new team

I’d be down with Ertz. He is a battle tested vet with Super Bowl experience that can produce. Like I have said the whole time it doesn’t necessarily need to be receiver. I’d prefer a receiver but another weapon is the main goal and TE’s are gold in this offense. Lewis is a liability in the pass game. Deguara is on IR and Sternberger hasn’t developed as planned yet so Ertz makes sense to go along with Tonyan. Those two on the field together with Adams and Jones and either Ervin or Lazard (when he comes back) would probably be enough. MVS would still be the weak link rotating in but oh well. I’d take Errz at this point in a heart beat.

Works for me. It gives Rodgers that “Other Option” I’ve been talking about and takes some of the pressure off Adams when we get into the game when it’s not so easy for him to just line up and smoke somebody all game long.
