While LaFleur & Pettine were hugging & playing grabass in the 4th quarter, Pettine's subs were getting toasted by the 49 subs. They looked like they had no idea how to defend the pass. Should be much better prepared.

Why should he move when you can likely snag a job at Target (a great Midwestern success story) who already upped their ante on minimum wage to $15 plus you likely get a discount on their store brand clothing.Originally posted by George Cumby View PostFlorida just raised theirs to 15.
You should think about moving.

You play who they put out on the field. They performed about the way one would expect they would considering the key injuries. That said there were still a bunch of people who though SF would make it a game...punch drunk Troy kept saying how impressed we would be with Mullen. lol The downside was all the injuries we had on defense again.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostThis was a valuable win in terms of getting as high a seed as possible in the playoffs. But it tells us absolutely nothing about whether this team is good enough to get to the Superb Owl.C.H.U.D.

Target increases their minimum-wage to $15/hr and then immediately cuts their full time hours by 90%.Originally posted by Spaulding View PostWhy should he move when you can likely snag a job at Target (a great Midwestern success story) who already upped their ante on minimum wage to $15 plus you likely get a discount on their store brand clothing.

When it comes down to self-preservation, it’s better to work for $7.25/hr, 40 hours a week with crappy health insurance than for $15/hr, 20 hours a week without health insurance.
The Shadow has inspired me. Once these trying times end, Imma quit the porn and burger flipping, take a semester course load of English classes at the local community college, and then head out west to LA. Gonna try to beat the odds and hopefully morph into a hotshot screenwriter, slash, lyricist.Last edited by Guest; 11-06-2020, 01:09 PM.

Yes, the Pack D, especially Josh Jackson, didn’t exactly dominate. But it was 34-3 at one point. The 69ers last 14 points were garbage time white noises, meaningful to only gamblers like Smuggler, Bretsky, Brandon and Harrell.Originally posted by The Shadow View PostWhile LaFleur & Pettine were hugging & playing grabass in the 4th quarter, Pettine's subs were getting toasted by the 49 subs. I’d be more worked up about the Pack’s run D.

I rewatched the game in 30 minutes, and Jackson had a terrible game. Got beat for a TD but the practice squad WR dropped the rock. Couldn’t cover any of the 69ers PS receivers. Had no clue how to destroy WR screens. Was flagged twice.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostMore knocking Josh Jackson? I'd say he did ok again last night - not great, but ok.
True about the garbage time points - annoying but harmless.
Tackling is Jackson’s best asset. Should be playing safety!
FYI: The Packers took Jackson over Jesus Warner. 12 said in his post game interview with MILF Erin Andrews that Warner has gotta be one of the top MLB in the league.

They were playing for pride. Nothing wrong with that.Originally posted by smuggler View PostI don't bet over/under on games. Those last 14 points didn't mean anything to me, because the line was 7.
It was just suspicious that the 9ers pushed so hard to hit the over and did so with 4 seconds left in the game.

Josh Jackson is better than he was, but he's still not great. That he plays over Kadar Hollman doesn't say much about Hollman either. I think they go back to the draft well to find more CBs next year, or hope Stanford Samuels can develop. When King walks they will need 2 CBs (one to replace him, and another to replace the replacement when they get hurt so Jackson rarely starts).
Honestly I've seen him have good coverage and terrible coverage. Jackson is like MVS: he's not consistent and the probability of making a good play is not high.

... and then they took Oren Burks after Warner, in the same round.Originally posted by Anti-Polar Bear View PostFYI: The Packers took Jackson over Jesus Warner. 12 said in his post game interview with MILF Erin Andrews that Warner has gotta be one of the top MLB in the league.
But in fairness to the Packers, an awful lot of draft sites projected Jackson as a lower first round pick. At the time, getting him in the 2nd seemed like a good pick.

How many people foresaw Warner being that great coming out of college? I sure didn't. Jackson, on the other hand, looked by a star, maybe more NFL-ready then Jaire at the time of the draft. Yeah, Jackson has been a disappointment from the way he looked in college, but he's a fairly solid starter as #2 Corner IMO, and still may get better. And I say again, I, for one, like the way he has played better than King.
And yeah, I'd like to see more of Stanford Samuel. The kid is a real head hunter, a throwback. If he can rein that in just enough to avoid penalties, we may have a player. He too, though, looked more like a Safety than a Corner. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Jackson absolutely cannot cover and he’s a flag waiting to happen. More like #4 safety than #2 corner.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostHow many people foresaw Warner being that great coming out of college? I sure didn't. Flip burgers for the minimum wage, so don’t subscribe to PFF, but I bet Hollman has a better grade than Jackson.Originally posted by run pMc View PostJosh Jackson is better than he was, but he's still not great. I like Hollman better than Jackson. Jackson makes me wish Mr. Hyde was back playing corner for the Pack. And Hyde was an abomination.
