Yeah, I mean, Gooter must suck - his team's have only reached the NFCC 66% of the time. That's the same historic clip that Tom Brady has achieved it FWIW.

The Packers have built a deep and talented team under Gooter who seems to have a keen eye for talent and will pull whatever strings to add pieces and increase depth/competition throughout the roster. My early impression is he is a solid GM.

I said Pettine and the ST guy, though I have no idea what better candidates there are out there. I guess if I were in charge that would be my first question, even before who should be fired: who's out there who could do a better job? I wouldn't change DCs just for a change, I don't think things have reached that level of ineptitude yet. Under Pettine we've seen some good development (Alexander, Gary) and some of the same persistent problems. The embarrassing showing by the defense in the 2019 NFCCG followed by this year's not-so-great defensive performance makes me think there's a good chance Pettine goes. But who steps in?

For special teams, I would first fire our coordinator and then start looking around to see if there's anyone out there. You could bring in the ghost of Chester Marcol and still do better.

He is surviving on Thompson’s core talent. He has added a couple pieces while recklessly wasting away a chance at a “Mini-Dynasty.”

This organization is currently structured wrong....some dumb triangle where let's hire a coach but he has to keep the D coordinator? What is our D philosophy? Seems to never change and quite frankly but for a couple of guys is marginal talent. Under the structure it starts with Murphy. You do what Harlan did: put a GM who knows WTF is going on and can demand accountability let him hire the coach who then has not only Offense but D and ST concepts too......We should be running a 4-3 and be focused on a Crushing Defense that literally smothers any type of offense and tell Rodgers you'll get three or four extra chances with whatever scrap heap WR, TE and RB's we can afford. You'd have three SB's with that concept absolutely. Defense wins Championships and we love that fast convertible which wilts in big games. I don't care about all the stats-they don't remember that you won ugly which in fact is Brady's career......
