This requires the Packers to draft certain types of players which they have been unwilling to do so which serves two purposes.

Better options for special teams returns. Better weapons on offense to expand the playbook and create more Chuck plays.

Hopefully we see this addressed more in the upcoming draft.

TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

It hasn't. That just means we're due!

It's hardly possible for Brandon to perform worse than Menenga. Can you imagine the sideline tirades the ST players would endure for their failures? Quite a motivator for success.

Do we really have to wait that long? Where is the fun in that?

He should never have been hired! Fire him now.

You know when you are really good at your job, but your boss is the absolute worst and you think to yourself “If I was in charge instead of that clown things would be a lot better around here!”

Let’s hope this is the case for new Packers ST coordinator Maurice Drayton.

Lowered expectations is how I got my wife to marry me. I thank God for how many assholes are on this planet sometimes.

I determined a while ago that nearly every fanbase loathes their special teams coaches. (The exceptions are usually those ranked top 5)
He's got some players to work with, and some holes to fill as well.

Crosby has been clutch, Scott had a bad year and needs to put it behind him and become consistent. Gute will bring in competition for P and LS.
Coverage has to improve; I think that will be the main thing he does in Year 1.

Gute needs to find a PR/KR also. Teams can kick high and short and start Rodgers inside the 20 too easily. Gotta make them pay for that.

With apologies to Professor Peter Schickele:

Every so often the Packers turn up a new special teams coordinator. And every time they do, there is a feeling of anticipation, a feeling of exaltation, that this new coach can't possibly be as bad as the old one. But so far...
