has anyone mentioned a-rods nuclear option?
he can show up week one and get "hurt", either real or made up. a guy can dive head first into a pile and say he's got a headache and sensitive to light. he gets his full year of pay, and we get nothing for him
he can also show up to clooect his money and just not give a shit and change the play at the line every single play to the deep ball

Not the way the game is played, and how ones peers respect them.
Stop the nonsense. Either he will, or won't be back.
To trade is nonsense. He chooses to retire? Wonderful! Start paying back the signing bonuses beginning at $30 million to start with, starting with this season. And a whole bunch more to follow.
Let him retire and sit on his prima donna ass.
Oh, wait...
Week five, six or seven when some young gun RPO QB gets lit up and gets sidelined for six or seven or eight weeks? And the respective team is legitimately in the hunt?
Perfect...how many first, second and thirds do you have over the next few years to make your win now dreams come true?
Hold fast Gute.

anybody see any potential issues if Gutebag plays the game, and Rodgers ends up coming back with a less than positive attitude ?TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Sure. If Rodgers is going to continue to play for the Packers, they need to get to the point where Rodgers WANTS to play in Green Bay. Otherwise, trade him and move on with the post-Rodgers era.Originally posted by Bretsky View Postanybody see any potential issues if Gutebag plays the game, and Rodgers ends up coming back with a less than positive attitude ?I can't run no more

When Favre decided he would waltz into camp several weeks in MM nd TT declared "welcome back. You will be a fine backup QB" If Rodgers plays that game I would hope they bench him right fast. He can sit on the bench every week and pout. Don't give him any reps or any reason to fake an injury and leave the team while getting paid. That would be the only response.Originally posted by red View Posthas anyone mentioned a-rods nuclear option?

You and I remember this very differently. I don't recall that at all. When he came to GB, it was immediately damage control IIRC and trying to get rid of him ASAP. Wasn't he gone the next day after he showed up at family night? What an epic drop-balls-on-table move.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostWhen Favre decided he would waltz into camp several weeks in MM nd TT declared "welcome back. Right. There was no welcome mat. He wanted to address the team on family night and the Packers wouldn't allow it. MM met with Favre the next day to gauge Favre's commitment to being the Packers QB before he would let Favre enter the locker room. . He did not come away satisfied. The Packers very much wanted Favre to retire. He wouldn't, so they traded him.Originally posted by call_me_ishmael View PostYou and I remember this very differently. I don't recall that at all. No matter what move arod does our ultimate response should have nothing to do with him. It should be based on loves capability. Anything other than an open arm welcome back tells me we got a stud in love. All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.

As I've said all along... The Packers hold all of the cards here if Rodgers wants to keep playing in the NFL. With that in mind, the Packers should be making their intent clear to the Rodgers camp.
1. The Packers want Rodgers to be the QB in Green Bay as long as he is playing at a level that can win championships.
2. The Packers will NOT trade Rodgers before March 2022, regardless of what happens.
3. The Packers need to be able to have a chance to prepare for the current season, so Rodgers needs to make his decision by a certain date... Probably early August. It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!
