what did they give up, i missed it

it was a good move, they have to get the QB thing figured out at some point. i just wasn't sold on fields, or the bears being able to figure out QBs

Actually, arm length is not underrated at OT. Not many top flight OTs with short arms. There are a few, but it's rare. However, Slater combines that in a 6'4" 304 frame. Now, I get that Slater hit the minimum. On the button, but combined with his size, he'll be a hell of a OG in a zone scheme.

I think I heard a 1st this year and 1st next year (equivalent to a 2nd this year).

Maybe, Vikes could play Slater at G and move Cleveland to OT.

Brian O'Neil has 34 1/8" arms--much longer than this guy. Way more than the average. Plus, he's 6'7" and had room to add to his frame. Plus, he really isn't the great. You'd hope at pick #14 you'd get better.

Sounds like the Chargers need to worry about it.

I don't like him at OT. We'll see. I think he can be a great OG in a zone scheme.
