For what’s it’s worth, Funchess apologized via Twitter.
He apologized. Good enough for me. People are just too sensitive. I don't expect someone with the IQ of your average football player to be able to parse their every word enough to never offend anyone.

Don’t bother. Yesterday, due likely to the long-term enslavement at the burger joint, my lower back started aching, so I called in and watched the practice in its entirety.

Watching transsexual pornography is less boring than that practice. The O couldn’t punch the rock in. The Love Machine was fumble-prone, ala the Majik Man. Big Ten refs didn’t know NFL rules. Funchess barked a racial slur. 17 jumped over pig 5-0.

Yes implying on black people can be football players is racist.

I could add former shutdown high school white CB burger flippers to the list. That should make it more inclusive and acceptable.

What? Kevin King is hurt? Before he ever even started training camp??! Shocking!

Sounds like Kabian Ento had a good practice. I'd give the young guys all the chance in the world to take Kevin King's roster spot.

I'd keep it more simple. If they outplay him I'd give them the spot. If he doesn't play, then its likely they will outplay him.

Mad, I thought you actually knew me. Trust me, I don't want anyone banned or silenced. I would like some solid football conversation. Its training camp for fuck sake and not one poster has mentioned that Ben Braden is on the cusp of a Pro Bowl season!! I even entirely stopped posting in the political thread.

Lets talk football people. I have been begging for a dominant OL for over a decade and we actually have one. We have 2 players capable of being dominant LTs, 2 guys who have shown ability to play RT at a high level (3 if you count Jenkins on both edges). We have a deep interior built around youth. We actually have a veteran ILB capable of covering someone finally. This is probably the best most well rounded team since we fell on our faces in Seattle.

I think Elgton Jenkins is a rarity. Dude can play anywhere on the line; I can't think of anyone like that. With the HOF induction, Alan Faneca came up -- dude was a nasty AllPro at LG and a decent LT when he had to play there. If Jenkins continues on his current trajectory, he could be that good.

I disagree that having that ability to play all the positions is all that rare. Talent is talent. College O Linemen do it all the time. Most pros could, they just aren't asked to do it most of the time. Jenkins is a rare talent, though. We got a true non-first round gem there.

This does seem like a deep team at many positions, excepting defensive line and inside linebacker. If they can get better-than-Ty-Lancaster reps out of Avery and Slaton, then that unit could hold up as long as Clark doesn't get _____.

                                Play.

Check out the Houston game last season. The D actually played better with Clark sitting on a bench.

The hard ons for Clark baffle me. For a dude getting paid $18M/yr, more is expected than 2 sacks, 6 QB hits, 3 tackle for loss. Plus, opponents successfully ran up the guts all day right at Clark.
