This site no longer works for me either in Chrome / Firefox or Safari on a mac, all of my OS and browser software is current.

It does. Best bet is to downgrade to the oldest os that can run on your hardware. Every release is a crappier design and breaks everything it can. Whenever I have to do development on a Mac, I want to nuke Cupertino.
