There are a few others between 10 and 15 attempts in the playoffs that are perfect. They don't play in Green Bay. I think Boswell is like 16 for 16, which is pretty good for a cold weather venue like Pittsburgh. Plus they have one of the worst playing surfaces in the league.

Boswell? Not even close to the same league as Crosby. Look deeper into the numbers. Crosby has played in about 2.5x more games and has 72 attempts from 50+. Boswell has 13. When I think of good kickers, Boswell doesn’t come to mind.

One argument for Crosby over Tucker is playoff kicking. Crosby is 30 for 33 and Tucker is 14 for 18. I didn't evaluate any of the misses, so maybe Tucker took a chance on a 60 yarder at the end of a half.
        2 of Tucker's playoff misses are 40-49. 2 are 50+. 1 of Crosby's misses are 40-49. 2 are 50+.

He hits 81.9% of his attempts, but in 2012 he completely lost his stroke hitting only “a 63.6 field-goal percentage. This was the lowest field goal percentage for any active kicker in the league in the 2012 season.

Last night’s Field Goal was a beauty that beat the 49ers in San Francisco .

What’s your thoughts on the guy?
And really, we need to give ol' Mike McCarthy some credit here. There was a lot of hair-on-fire calling for Crosby's head after that poor season - I think Crosby had signed a big-for-a-kicker contract just prior - but MM stuck with him. A good move, and not an easy one when your kicker is doing so badly and costing the team points.

And kudos to Crosby for being tough mentally and coming back from it.

          He's a very fine kicker.

I’d say he almost got himself fired week 5.

Glad he got to get the winner in the end. Hopefully his confidence isn't too rattled.

Paul Brown Stadium is one of the tougher places to kick when the wind is blowing, as it isn't very enclosed. Both kickers seemed to struggle figuring it out today.

If his confidence was rattled, I don't think he would have made the last one.
