The Lions - unlike past teams, this one isn't quitting.

The fans like that coach. At the same time, he takes this "damn the torpedoes" thing too far. He passed on a pretty short field goal at a key moment to go for it on fourth down, and didn't make it.

Some of his gambles are great, but he doesn't seem to have a good sense as to when it's time to stop.
