  • OBJ trade possible?

I saw the Pack mentioned at PFT as a possible trade destination for Odell Beckham Jr before next Tuesday. Anyone seen that elsewhere?

I'm sure I don't know how that would work cap wise, but teams can generally make it happen if they want to.

He can't get open. So we don't want him.

More like Mayfield can’t get him the rock. OBJ’s still a great route runner; think Greg Jennings with more speed.

I've watched numerous Browns games the last few years. OBJ now is slower than Jennings (at his best), and can't get open. He can stay on the Browns, especially given his salary, let alone what we'd have to give up in a trade.

You can go root for the Browns WHEN the Packers trade for OBJ.

True. He was barely faster than Jennings coming out, and after an ankle injury, quad injury, and torn ACL, he isn’t as fast as Jennings was here. I still think he has value. Mayfield just isn’t that good, and has missed him open a lot. With his salary and injury history though, I’d stay away.

I'm not in love with the idea, but it's looking more like the Pack needs a replacement for MVS and a a mid-season move to a contender might motivate him. He has no guarantees for 2022 so he could be cut loose with no dead cap after the season. Cap hit for this year would be in the neighbourhood of $7m.

Smuggler's comments that he's lost a step are concerning.

I sat at a BJ table with OBJ. Staff had to hammer him to pull his mask up every 10 seconds. A week later I see him in the news complaining that the NFL should cancel the season for the safety of its players. Fuck that douche!! (This was Julyish 2020)

How the fuck one’s supposed to give a BJ with a fucking mask on?

                        Davante is a legit #1

After that we probably have 3 #3’s in MVS, Lazard and Cobb.

Missing Tonyan means we’re gonna need some injury luck the rest of the way. Lazard plays a similar role to Tonyan so I think we’ll be ok.

I would take Cooks over OBJ if I had to make a choice in getting another WR. However, I wouldn't take either, as I think the chances of us not having Adams, Lazard and MVS active in the same game again this season is remote. I would rather find a TE or more depth in the secondary.

Agree with this. All those injuries are going to rob him of speed/quickness. At his age and salary, I'd think there are younger, healthier, cheaper, as-good options. He's a marquee name, but I'm not sure he has marquee production or athleticism anymore. Besides, they need a pass-catching TE more than a WR... Davante, MVS, and Lazard are coming back. Tonyan isn't (this year).

OBJ being poopy in the locker room, in addition to in the bedroom. Seems like he needs some psych meds.
