The conversion of salary to roster bonus is to protect the Browns. It was agreed to by Beckham's representation. It means they expect him to go unclaimed on waivers.

Assuming he is not claimed: The Browns will pay him $4mil instead of $7mil for the remaining contract in 2021. If and when he is signed, the Browns will now be required to pay the difference in his remaining salary up to that $4 million threshold.

In other words, Odell Beckham paid $3million to not play for the Browns again.

If he's claimed, it's all academic.

Rumor was that the Saints kicked the tires on him Tuesday, but didn't make a deal. They probably wanted the Browns to eat almost all the salary for the remainder of the deal.

Not likely to be picked up by anyone on waivers. Saints might take him for league minimum after he clears.

What the Saints could really use is a quarterback. I can only imagine how frustrated a peabrain like Odell Beckham would get while receiving "passes" from the golden arm of Trevor Siemian.

          Browns sure missed OBJ.

            Addition by subtraction.

Really though, Nick Cubb being back made a world of difference.

Reports OBJ would like to come to Green Bay. He must be impressed with Jordan Love.

This is getting me excited. Get it done, German Shepherd!

I bet back in the days, alotta uncool Pack fans said they didn’t want Bad Moon Risen either. The Packers currently lack a bona fide #2 wideout. OBJ would be that guy.

Where does a slow, can't get open, cancer fit on this team? He can't block so he doesn't take Lazards spot, he isn't fast, so not MVSs spot, he thinks he is the greatest so do we bench DA?

OBJ? Hard no. The dude had to make ridiculous one handed grabs back when he was healthy to get catches. Now that he's lost speed, he won't even be able to do that. The Browns consistently played better as an offense over recent years when OBJ wasn't on the field. He's not even a capable #2 anymore.

Josh Reynolds would be better then OBJ and I'm not sure if he makes the Packers better.

On the day in which he could make his final decision, free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. is honing in on the Chiefs, Packers and Saints, per league sources.

I’m betting on the Saints. Packers probably won’t make an offer.
