I wouldn't complain if they signed Beckham as that would mean the team did due diligence and decided he's worth a shot. My best guess, though, is they decide against getting him.

REPORTS out of GB is they are offering OBJ the minimal one year contract.

To be quite honest, THIS is a golden opportunity for Gutebag to get show Rodgers some love by getting AROD's viewpoints on whether or not to pursue Beckham and act like it's a team in moving ahead on this
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

How do you know Rodgers WANTS OBJ on his team? There are a lot of WR with declining skills they can sign, why this one?

I don’t get the hate for OBJ. Tony O’Day, I get: the fishmonger hates OBJ b/c OBJ engages in interracial relationships. But I don’t seem to recall reading anything about OBJ, outside of the rye, physically/sexually assaulting anyone, selling/doing dopes, driving drunk or touting guns.

In the rye, OBJ is a prima donna. But guess what? All hotshot WRs are prima donnas nowadays. Even the Fresno FREAK. Humble, hard-working, blue-collar wideouts like Jerry Rice and Jordy Nelson are extinct.

Hasn't there been reports of obj freelancing on routes? If so he will not get a single target.
If I'm wrong on the freelancing he is a good vet min pickup

Don't know, but it's possible. Mayfield only had 50% completion pct. this year when targeting OBJ. 70% to everyone else.

If DA and AR think OJB can be a help and he signs I will cheer for him, I would really like to see a SB this year!

                    I don't, and personally I don't want him.

But with the being said, it's a time for Gutebag to seek bonding time with AROD to massage his nutsack and increase the chances he comes back

I saw another stat that said only ~60% of the balls thrown to OBJ were rated as catchable, so that seems about right.

The bigger question is why are those two numbers so low? Because OBJ was not where he was supposed to be or because Mayfield can't make the downfield throws?

The two games that I saw Cleveland, Mayfield missed OBJ a lot. The guy still has more than enough speed and quickness to get open.

Mayfield is woefully inaccurate down the field. That could explain the difference. Mayfield’s completion percentage to other receivers is inflated by dumpoffs to his RBs.

                          45 completions to RBs.
                          41 to Njoku and Hooper.
                          Landry is a possession receiver.

More than 10 yards down the field, Mayfield stinks.

Okay, from what I read this morning on Acme, no team has any real reason to offer more than the vet's minimum, because whatever salary he is paid by whomever signs him will be simply deducted from the 4.25 million the Browns are paying him for the rest of this season. So if you offer him the vet minimum, OBJ still gets 4.25 million - your team pays the vet minimum, and the Browns cover the rest. You pay OBJ 3 million, and again, your team pays that amount, and the Browns pony up for the rest up to that 4.25 million mark.

So unless a team wants to offer OBJ over 4.25 million for the rest of the year, then OBJ's choice won't be about the money but about where he wants to play. Sounds like it's either KC, NO, or GB.

He's got no one to throw him the ball in NO, so it's KC or GB.

Sucks for the Saints, but they're fucked and Beckham probably knows as much, but it *is* the hometown team for him.
