  • Getting healthy and winning ugly until we do

The Cowboys win ensures that the NFC stays tough at the top. We play the Rams a month from now. We don’t play the Cowboys at all. The Bucs have an easy schedule.

It’s about the time of year to start dreaming about 1 seed playoff byes.

    But……

We’re not healthy. On offense we’re missing Adams, Lazard, MVS, Bakhtiari and Meyers. There is a good chance 4 of the 5 will be back against the chiefs. If they’re all back, I like our chances to start opening it up on offense. But it’s no sure thing that they’ll be back. Can we win yet another one ugly?

Defensively we’re missing our top 2 players, Zadarius and Jaire. How soon, if at all, will those two come back?

It’s shaping up a lucky season so far. I don’t think luck will carry us through the playoffs though. Can we get healthy enough to make that final run and can we win ugly in the mean time to make the road more favorable?

Zadarius coming back would be huge. Gary has taken a massive leap. Preston is in shape and playing well. Mercilus is flashing. Having Z in there would allow for our guys to be rested and ready to tear on every single down of the game.

If we could find a way to win against the Chiefs, we'd really be putting ourselves in a good chance to compete for the #1 seed. That's a big 'if' though, because they are going to be desperate and it's in Arrowhead, where the crowd is always involved and inhospitable.

        Agreed.

But I've caught bits and pieces of their games.

They can be had provided our guys take care of their own business.

The way the DL/OLB's managed Murray last week is a positive sign.

Lazard is activated off of the reserve covid list. So one back. MVS is practicing. We should have those two guys on Sunday. Adams depends on two negative tests. Bakh is probably a week away. Jaire and Z are out.

This week is looking better than last week and the chiefs are struggling. Next week should be even better with Adams and Bakh also returning soon.

One thing about Lafleur is he seems to wait a little longer to bring guys back. But so far we haven’t had lingering injuries. Z turned out to be a lingering one but that’s the first time a guy has come back and then been injured right away again.

Good thread and agree on all points.

This season has to be a great one, and they we need to find a way to keep Rodgers here for his career.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Agreed, Bretsky. This last dance crap is bullshit. The big deal is keeping Rodgers here for the rest of his career and having that be a fairly long while.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Brady is still producing at a high level, still a top-10 QB. And he's 45. I'm inclined to agree with you on that one, tex. ARod still has the tools. He should, and probably will, stick around.
