He’s way better than your quarterback.

            He just couldn't stay away.

I guess his offseason program of fucking Giselle and sitting around watch TV for a month while he was retired is better than Aaron Rodgers's hardcore cleansing crap.

His handlers told him he wasn't retiring. It was never up to him.

The NFL is a machine, a money-making machine. I can't figure out why they'd need to "fix" anything. The entire system as devised is a clever kind of fix that is not dependent upon exact specific outcomes that could be uncovered and cause the demise of the whole thing.

The owners have a legal monopoly. They are awash in cash. There is no need for a "fix."

Two months at home with the kids makes getting hit by 300 pound defensive linemen look good.

Boston Globe claims that the Flores lawsuit scuttled a plan to bring in Sean Payton as HC and OmigawdTahmBrady! as an exec/owner/Special Guest QB:

If Brady had his way, he would have been running — and potentially quarterbacking — a Patriots division rival. Instead, a series of unforeseen events led him back to Tampa.

Okay, I read it. The article comes off as speculation, but the difference between media denials and lawsuits is good unnamed sources, so I trust the Globe. It really comes off as kinda tame. I wish they were more explicit about who called off this Ocean's Eleven plan; I assume it was Ross, the Dolphins owner, who flinched.
