This was from your buddy Wilde who you probably think is worthless. Gb did some extensive background research on both Wyatt and jelani woods. Both had some character concerns and they did their share of research and seemed to come out being positive on both
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

    • I really like the picks. I'm high on Wyatt. Obviously, he dropped because of age. But DL age well, and they don't have to reup his contract. They've despeerately needed help for Clark for several years; so, you do what you can when you draft low. He can be a very special player.

Gotta say, I wanted them to try to put this D over the top. Aaron was on board with it too (on McAfee). He knew they were going to take Wyatt if he was available. In AR's opinion, Williams was the only blue chip, NFL ready receiver in the draft. He stressed you can get receivers anywhere: not just a talking point. My three favorite receivers are still on the board.

Anyways, we've got a lot of picks in a deep draft. This was a very good first day.

        • As per usual, Gute drafted guys with elite athleticism in Round 1.

I have a hunch the Packers are going to take 2 WR in this round.

That's about as useless as a concrete parachute. Of course, the Packers researched Wyatt, Woods, and anybody they gave draftable grades to who had character concerns.

I think Jeremy Fowler of ESPN first reported that. They also brought in Sam Williams and George Pickens. Two other guys with character concerns.

              • I wonder if the Packers would entertain trading like a #3 or #4 for Karadius Toney? Can they control him? He seems like a talented problem child.

Also sounded like per my Giants buddies, he didn't study the playbook and didn't know the plays, and he was above some of the discipline we need as an honorable teammate

Most I'd ponder would be a 5 or 6 for him. Probably would just pass. Doesn't sound like a guy Rodgers would trust anyways

                    • Hard pass on Toney for me. In fact, I like the youth, so while I see the logic of giving up a second for Waller, the guy is almost 30 and wants to be paid, I think. So draft a young guy and make your Amish tight end Josiah do the work until Tonyan gets back.

I dunno about trading Love. Sounds good short term, but who's the backup QB? And now you have no plan for two years from now when Rodgers retires.

We should go sign Jack Coan and Carson Strong
Really think Coan is a backup who would be an outstanding fit in GB
