I basically just said this in the watson thread.
I am going to enjoy seeing watson and doubs on the outside. Not many teams have 2 CB with elite speed. Can 12 find the one open?

Provided he's not still looking for Adams.

As you get older your eye sight starts to go. I'm more concerned with him throwing to #7 on the side lines. Big target.

You have to be excited about the diversity of routes that he won on in college.

You watch his highlight reel and he creates separation on his out-routes. He boxes out and gets after it with slants. He gets open deep. He has a good stop route. You can picture him being able to do a lot.

I have a good feeling about Doubs.

Having Watson to clear out the safeties wont hurt him either. Hes coming into a good situation. Maybe you use Sammy Watkins as a one year stop gap and then go with this guy a year later. Maybe theres a surprise cut and Watkins doesnt make the team too.

You should share the meds your on. There is no way that Doubs even comes remotely close to What Carr and Adams numbers.
I'll go further and say I don't see how Watson + Doubs will outproduce Adams this year, who should be a lock to get in the neighborhood of 90-1200-11 if he and Carr are healthy.
Saying Watson will outperform Adams is like saying Kenny Pickett will outperform Aaron Rodgers this year.

I love the optimism, but rookie WRs rarely set the world on fire...and I think Watson has too much rawness yet to be in the rare class of rookies that do.
Year 2 is a different story.

I doubt any 2 receivers will equal Adams. WR will be much more of a committee than it was last year when half the passes targeted to WR's went to Adams. 2 of the rookies will get targets, Watkins will get targets, and Cobb and Lazard will get more targets than last year.

Last year Packers WR's had 3086 receiving yards combined, TE's 732 and RB's 712. I expect TE's and RB's to go over 1000, and WR yards to probably be down a bit.

Yeah, all those guys will get a few more targets than they got when Adams was there, and yeah, likely none of them individually will match Adams, maybe not even any two. However, CLEARLY - IMO - Watson will get targeted the most and will get the most receptions. Why? Because nobody else except him will be worthy of the most targets. Whether he plus the second place guy - Watkins, Lazard, or whoever surpass Adams, not so clear, but regardless, the team will be fine, and Watson will be great even as a rookie.

And I say again, Watson will have a better year with Rodgers throwing to him than Adams will have with Carr throwing to him. Mark it down as a prediction.

If our te and rb each get 750 yards, our wr only need 3000 to equal last year. So 5 wr need 600 yards. That's possible as some one needs to be targeted. I bet Watkins gets that in 10 games. Lazard probably eats 800. Cobb is 450. So now we need 2 of amari watson and doubs to hit 600. I would be suprised if watson doesn't unless he has worse hands than mvs. So amari and doubs each get 300 and our production lost to Adams is made up.

I think Jones and dillion will make up the lions share of adams tds.

To me, that does not equate to getting a kid ready for the NFL. Watson is going to have a very steep learning curve this year, but just getting behind the defense once a game will be enough to keep defenses honest. He has the ability to go to the house on any snap, which is a threat this offense needed to add.
'Scuse me, King, but I have to say this: you are REALLY football-dumb. You ask, "How is Watson NFL ready?" C'mon, man.

                    1. He played in a northern state, like Wisconsin.

                    2. Look at the uniform.

Duh. Same uniform colors, OBVIOUSLY. The dude is clearly NFL ready based on the above. I try so hard to teach you all a little something from my vast repertoire of football knowledge, but you guys just don't listen.

I am gonna say it now Doubs has the most receiving yards of any GB pass cather this year going into week 10 followed by A Rodgers

I hope you are right in a good way. I'm worried if doubs leads our wr something went horribly wrong.

Lazard is solid. Watkins is solid. I just dont understand how Watson won't be as good as mvs. Mvs had generally bad hands, and was slower.
Outside of injury doubs is 4th in my eyes (which haven't seen him play in real game action)

I just think his route running is gonna take some time and Doubs is more refined at this stage. Lazard to me is a big target but I'm not sure he is gonna be a high volume type of guy. I think he will get shut down by opposing defenses and Doubs and Rodgers are gonna get open looks, lots of em early on. Watson to me is gonna take a little time to find his way, I think he will eventually shine just not early in the season.

Watching them at Senior Bowl practice (they were on the same team, so it’s easy to compare) Watson looked like a better route runner.

HOLY SHIT you've been saving up your homerism the past few weeks for this post )))))

What do you wanna bet on this ? Catches per game, yards per game ? The only way IMO Watson outperforms Adams is if Adams gets injured.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
