Official 2022 Training Camp Thread

I am so excited about this defense. They have speed, speed, speed, and seem to be well-coached. They are flying all over. I love it.

I expect the offense will take a long time to work out the kinks, and I expect both that the defense will carry them for a while and that LeFleur will call a conservative offense until it gets its sea legs.

This is the best front 7 since Reggie White played. And the backend is damn good too.

Reed was a depth add but looks like he is a "find" TJ Slaton is making noise.

The Dline could go from a ? to being very VERY GOOD this season.

Go watch the Rodgers out with Covid game vs. KC last year. Reed was living in Love's lap the entire game.

I wonder if they’re gonna start Romeo Doubs on week 1. Or wait till Watkins gets injured. I expect 50 catches and 750 yards out of Doubs this year.

We know what we have in Clark, Lowry and Reed. Clark is a really good player. Lowry and Reed are good players.

You draft a 24 year old rookie in the first round, you do it knowing there isn’t as much room for growth. So you draft that guy feeling like he’s gonna be good right now. I fully expect Wyatt to be a damn good rookie.

And then we have Slaton. He made it on the field as a rookie and looked pretty good. If he’s made a big jump, that 5th spot is huge. It means we have 5 guys to rotate around and always be fresh. Slaton is a big wild card and I’m hoping for big things out of the big guy.

If our DL is as good as it looks on paper, holy shit. It’s gonna be a fun year to watch defense.

He was available in the 5th round because in college he let his weight get up to 360+. He's a beast at 330.

If Amari takes a big step, I can see Cobb cut. If Doubs is the real deal AND Winfree, Watkins looks like a wasted spot. He gets cut. I could see either or both cut. Probably more likely to be Watkins.

That seems high for Lowery. Other than that, it sounds about right - maybe more for Wyatt and Reed and a little less for Clark, because I think Clark still gets the most attention by blockers.

I can't say you are wrong. I don't see it happening though. I just think Rodgers will clamor for keeping a vet like Watkins. It won't matter too much anyway if we can stash a couple on the practice squad to come up by week 6 when watkins is nursing a torn vagina.

Its so hard to predict because a lot of it has to do on how teams scheme. I would think doubling/chipping Gary is first choice for most teams. Next would be clark. Then the question is, who gets to the QB first among Preston, Reed, Wyatt?

Aaron Rodgers hard count draws a free play with an offside from the defense. Play ends in a deep-shot incompletion, but Rodgers slaps fives with Yosh Nijman and Jake Hanson for holding their ground. Good moment for a struggling offensive line.

Jordan Love has really started to come on. I’m interested to see him play this preseason.

Tom Clements is an old school fundamentals guy. Rodgers says Love is getting harped on a lot with the details. And it’s starting to show with his consistency.

Let’s hope for a big preseason out of Love. Maybe we can trade him for a second next off season if he tears it up. Or maybe Rodgers retires and Love ends up being the guy.
