All those great players - the three really good corners, Devondre Campbell, Gary, Preston Smith, Kenny Clark, and the signing of Jarron Reed and drafting of Walker and Wyatt. They seemed like they'd be crazy good.

But they suck. They were up two touchdowns (17-3) against a team with all the wide receiving talent out, a hobbled QB, and to top it off, players dropping like flies during the game. Nonetheless, the defense let the offense score time after time after time in the second half. What a shit effort.

I am souring on Joe Barely. It doesn't seem that it's a lack of talent there. If you can't shut down that Giants team after it got behind by two TD's, that's on you, defense.

MLF also did not have a good game. This loss goes to the coaching staff. I think Joe Barely needs some kind of come-to-Jesus moment where he figures out what the hell he's been doing wrong.

Luckily it's a long season, so the story's not written yet. But at the moment the plot is going sideways.
Fritz - my feelings exactly. Well said!

The way things are going, I don't think this team has a prayer against the Jets next week.

    • Long term, Romeo Doubs is a positive. He makes a big play every game. He’s having a solid rookie year.

      • When you have Alexander playing 10 yards off a street FA something is wrong. Everyone knows Jones has been running bootlegs all season except the GB defense. WTF? Don't get me started about 19 combined carries for Jones and Qaud.

This worked for Rodgers in the past. He would invariably get the PA call on those. Thing is, the league (in my opinion) has soured on Rodgers and now, he just won't get those calls anymore on a consistant basis.

            • I think you are right that the refs bailed out Rodgers a lot in the past; I think he's not getting those calls now because none of the WR's has the cache that Adams did.

Every team has a lull during the season. I think it's causing lots of consternation that the Pack's lull started in game one and has yet to let up. I hope they can find their identity over the course of the next few games. But this is not at all the season I'd hoped for. And normally I don't have big big expectations, but I thought this team had the defense to be dominant. But so far, they are laying a big turd.

              • I do expect us to be better at end of the season than we are now; much of that is I think Sharon by then should develop more chemistry with the Dubster and hopefully Chrissy Watson. If he continues to force things to Cobb that is a mistake. But Sharon is never wrong, and last week he used the media again to note his buddy Randall should be on the field a lot more since he looks just as good as back in 2014

                • I had a real bad feeling this was the kinda game ARod was going to have when he made the comment that he's "going to give London a show." Just had a bad feeling he would force stuff he shouldn't and throw the ball more than he should.

I kinda has that as well; he wanted to be the London stat.

Instead, Run the Dam ball and win !

On another note, when it was 3rd at 1.5 to 2 yards, the Giants completely stacked the box and dared Sharon to beat them with the receivers he had.

Didn't work out well for the London Show

                    • That's been happening forever, Bretsky. Rodgers usually just beats them with some sort of a short pass, kinda like the goal line play. Most teams have an offensive line that can grind out 1 or 2 yards just about anytime. Not the Packers, though. Not now, really not anytime in recent history.

Two chances, though, hell yeah, they shoulda run it, and no way they shoulda thrown it downfield like they did. That whole last drive was screwed up - using up 6 minutes or whatever, basically saying if we leave time on the clock, our D will give it away anyway. It woulda been tied, and most teams woulda saved their timeouts and tried to get the ball back and win it.

                        • Sick of hearing the Packers can’t run this year. That is complete bullshit. We are averaging 5.0 yards per rush. With a long of only 36.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

                            • What they can't do is run without the element of surprise - set up by a pass-first offense. Just about any O Line can line up and push for a yard or two - how often do teams do that to us? The Packer O Line just can't do that, not with any consistency anyway.

                                I would agree with this

When GB loses it's because we forget who our weapons on offense really are

I don't know if it's MLF or Sharon....or a combo of both. We can't ignore AJ and AJ
